it's not a matter of being "carb resistant" per say, more so that carbohydrates don't seem to make them insulin resistant, confusing the system of fat stores in their bodies. doesn't make them any less unhealthy for people that don't pack on all the fat from eating all the sugar.
The biggest thing we can do to fight the pharma-government+lie-complex, is to eat healthy. Even if you can't stomach the idea of passing up your soda, or desserts and sweets, if you avoid sugar everywhere you can, you're better off for it. Our collective health is merely the result of our collective dietary inputs. Obesity/diabetes, hypertension, (Alzhiemers?) and the google of problems that come as a result of "putting unleaded gas in your diesel engine", are the not so silent killers. Dont' just buy fresh buy local, Eat fresh and Eat local! Eat seasonally. This also would be your best way to fight overconsumption of petroleum, as it's estimated that anywhere from 33-51% of domestic petro consumption is because of how "we" eat. From start to finish and everything in between
thunderlips, if you've never heard of growing in house microgreens, you're welcome. get to googling. They are so easy to grow, and certainly affordable if you price in all the implications of how and what you eat, not just the simple price tag on your bag of romaine and spinach. SPINACH IS THE SHIT! I'm like a modern day Popeye anymore, literally pissing away the fat and piling on the muscle.
Best of all, i have chosen not to renew my health insurance with my employer for 2012, and am working out a way to get compensated monetarily, in lieu of that fucking racket. 5600 this year, and i never go to the dr. and have never accepted any drugs/meds.
Big Oil
big Gov
Big drugs
Big Agriculture
can all kiss my smaller behind, you're no friend of mine!
Are you saying that some of these fatties are so fat, that they have their own gravitational pull?
ROFL! Well done, well done!
At the risk of offending my jewish friends (of which I'm one, for those of you who don't know it)...
Maybe this wasn't a case of a McDonald's falling into the ground from the weight of the customers. Maybe, just maybe, an old jewish man dropped a nickle down a gopher hole...
Btw, the current results for the "Do you feel bad for this man?" poll on the article is
Appears nobody knows the real solution.
Everybody knows W.T.F. stands for "WHERE'S THE FOOD" !
But seriously, This poor guy's life time goals are similar to our own - F.F.F. Fame, Fortune or FOOD !
EllieMae: You should have wrote for Seinfeld !
Is it true the definition of a Jewish dilemma is free ham ?
Serious problems avail. Was at Costco recently, could not help observing a LARGE woman with her several children all enjoying Hot Dogs. She scolded one young man for dripping mustard then punished him by eating his. Then looked over to me and spattered out " what are you looking at " ? I left ! She wasn't gettin a bite of mine !
Am I missing something here???
I am hoping his girlfriend\roomate had life insurance on the guy !
Is it true the definition of a Jewish dilemma is free ham ?
Yep. Either that or pork half-price.
If obese people would just stop having sex, then they just might stop reproducing themselves and become extinct.
Oh wait, that's n...........
When is that picture from?
Right now portions across the board are getting smaller and smaller, as prices are going up. TMAC54 was talking about the fat woman snatching food off people's plate(or hot dogs as it were).
Our food industry complex is doing that now, and charging you for the displeasure. As folks keep perpetuating this myth, that all Americans are fat and over weight, because food was abundant and affordable. Now it's not affordable, and is getting harder to come by. And what little food they do serve, they are now filling it with the most vile and disgusting fillers that are far worse than beef, mayo, vegetable oil, and potatos and bread. Where's the outrage about pink slime and other chemical fillers? Not to mention all of the corn sweeteners they stuff in food that otherwise didn't need it.
Most beers in a 6 pack are on average 10.5 oz.
More over, I call bullshit on that picture. If people ate out in the 50's they expected their money's worth. A 4oz burger are you kidding me, for a kids meal perhaps. Food was cheap then, I think someone could afford 3 or 4 3.9 oz hamburgers.
But I remember hamburger buns that makes our hamburger buns we get today, look, taste and feel, like something you buy in an envelope. Classic Hamburger buns were 5 to 6 inch diameter, and were a real hardy bread, not this 80% air crap they sell today. There was only one size of french fries, "a basket", and there was always free refills on fountain drinks. Or the 7oz Coke was only 5 cents.

"Obese man cut from chair he was stuck in for 2 years dies; skin fused with maggot-infested fabric"
Full Article
"Bellaire police had to cut the man free after finding that his skin had fused to the chair's fabric.:
"They said he sat in his own waste and was covered in maggots."
Hey, I don't like to exercise either, but when it gets to the point when you are stuck in a chair full of your own excrement and your maggot-infused skin has fused to the chair, it's time to get off your ass.
