I don't get the graph they post there...as the dow did not follow the 1929 pattern. It's july and we are up to 17k

Thoughts?

Yeah, it's advertising. That's the same doom and gloom BS story this group has been posting for the past 10 years trying to sell their book and services.

Here's some info about that chart: http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/06/26/time-to-officially-stick-a-fork-in-that-1929-chart/

It's a bit different, if I recall the FEDs back in the late twenties started to raise interest rates after lowering them in the early twenties. Plus there was no such thing as QE back then either. The current today's FED has yet to raise interest rates and if they did you can bet we'd have a 1929 stock market or asset bubble.

But the lack of raising rates along with the continuation of QE just means that once the music stops the crash will be much bigger than 1929, of course this time the FED will react by increasing QE by a much larger amount more than 100 billion a month I bet. And of course this is when the world will really start to question the worth of the dollar.

Its a healthy balance to the eternal optimism that abounds rising housing costs, from the knuckleheads that cheer on our collective ascent to poverty
