Great quote by Steve Bannon, sorry I didn't run across it till now:

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/26/business/media/stephen-bannon-trump-news-media.html

I think he's right. It was never Hillary vs Trump, it was the Media vs Trump. They just have no clue as to how their perfectly predictable scorn for everything Trump says was actually the very thing that got Trump elected, because everyone was so sick of the press's smugness. Trump played them perfectly.

It's pure coincidence that the Coastal Elites who hate the White Working Class are Anti-Tariff and Pro-Outsourcing.

Yawn again. You and others on here are getting a little too high on your alt-right gibberish.

Yeah, the Donald stands for white (why just white?) working class because he so relates to their predicament. I mean just look at the characters he's trying to stuff his cabinet with. Warriors for the working class to a man!

? And Trump, a self-claimed billionaire...

66   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Feb 1, 6:44pm

Complaining about Mansplaining, Pussy Grabbing, Russia and the end of mandatory free Birth Control is the screaming on one side.

The other side is screaming about Jobs, the Glut of Workers, etc.

Which side has economic concerns, and which has traditional Decent Victorian Values, my dear People's Morality Concerns?

And Franklin Roosevelt's Springwood had a tin roof and he grew up chasing rats in the alley to eat.

And you really believe that's what the differences boil down to? This is getting seriously tedious.

I'm trying to get you to realize there is a big class component disguised in Race.

And Trump's life's work and that of FDR lead you to think they are of similar standing in fighting for the (white) working class?

After Trump serves into his 4th Term instead of a few days and we'll find out.

I'm not alt-right, I'm happily married with children and a great job. Alt-right is NEET Incels or alcoholic middle aged men faking lower back pain to collect Soc Sec disability.

They think the Holocaust is overblown, Hydrogen Cyanide was just a harmless garden-variety pesticide, yet want to go into deep detail about a Friendly Fire incident from 50 years ago while explaining how a group that is a regular target of overwhelming Oil-fueled Bullying at the UN also somehow controls the World.

While this comes from Gov Cuomo from NY, weve seen this time and time again from the media...including ABC, CBS, NBC, et al....and it shows just how in bed the MSM is with the Democrat Party.

73   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Feb 1, 7:44pm

Media Bias is saying that Milo Yannipoulous is repeating claims that he is a White Supremacist Fascist, without mentioning he's a Greek Jew Flaming Fashion Faggot who says Hitlerite things like bragging about how much Black Dick he sucks.

It really is too much, if you wrote a novel with this scene, the publisher would laugh you out the door.

4th term indeed. Good one. He's 70 years old. His life's work doesn't start now.

And you are complaining about media bias. That's rich.
Might as well say that one side is talking about the environment, equal rights, making globalization work, ending torture, higher minimum wage, etc. The other side is trying to bring back low skill manufacturing, tear down international relationships, deny environmental reality, control where everybody poops, start a religious war, and drive abortions back to the back alley.
Both your synopsis and mine are one sided crap that would never be published in the MSM.

Yes or No, the US Mainstream Media is controlled and consolidated in the hands of a handful - literally the definition of an Oligarchy?

Yes.

Yes or no: Your statement was too biased to get through the MSM filter?

78   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Feb 2, 8:39am

People don't read my posts on the Evening News broadcast to millions, nor does it appear in the majors newspapers, either print or digital.

Whereas Tom Friedman, Anne Applebaum, George Will are all over the print and television media. Digital Also.

79   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2017 Feb 2, 9:15am

It was a yes or no statement. Your response implies that you acknowledge that the answer is yes.

My point is that the MSM is much much much less biased than your posts. There are wide market pressures to get the story about right, regardless of the lack of companies producing content. When Baghdad bob spicy pants made an ass out of himself in his opening statement, he drew a false equivalency between himself and the media. He said that the press was allowed to make a mistake, and asked why he wasn't. The obvious answer is that the press is covering hundreds of stories each day. There are bound to be some mistakes. But when you are batting 0.250 and you are the WH press secretary, you are in the wrong job.

The MSM largely does an accurate job. My biggest gripe is that the news shows recycle the same content over and over with a different personality slapped on top of it. They fill too much air time with too little investigative reporting. I heard a comment the other day that this is a great time to be in news journalism. Sure, the WH is openly antagonistic. But there are tons of things to investigate, and you don't need Trump's permission or approval to do your job. Most of the media is just somebody hamming it up on air commenting on funny or witty tweets or comments from their colleagues.

My response implies nothing; I reject your framing :)

The MSM misleads and half-truths by committing the sin of omission regularly. The editing of the sister of the felon the black cop shot is a great example, giving the impression she was calling against violence when she just wanted it in the White Neighborhood.

The investigative journalism budget was lower under Obama, because he was the preferred Oligarch's candidate, just as Hillary was.

That's why they gave them so much money.
