This is why the science fucks at Nasa should be ignored when giving data driven advice...

Either the FBI doesn't have enough to do to keep itself busy so it sets up a sting on an innocent grandma, or it is trying to hide the fact that those "moon" rocks never came from the moon in the first place. Keeping those rocks in the family and friends of NASA helps maintain the charade.
"I only called them moon rocks because they reminded me of my late husband's testicles: dry, shriveled, and may as well have been in outer space."

It's the former. The moon landing did happen. A few of the engineers who worked to make it happen got token specks of dust as a token of appreciation, you know stuff that geeks would like but most people wouldn't give a shit about. But it turned out that a few obsessive collectors were willing to pay big bucks for such tokens, so now the greedy asses at the FBI are trying to make like the woman or her husband illegally obtained the speck so they can profit instead.
It's not illegal to possess, sell, or buy moon rocks or any other space junk as long as you or the seller didn't steal it, and that's the case with this granny. The FBI were simply using asset forfeiture laws to steal property because the worthless junk ended up becoming a collector's item. Those agents should be locked in jail for at least ten years.

Really?
"Individuals are also forbidden to buy or sell any of the wreckage from the tragically ill-fated space shuttles Challenger and Columbia. "They're considered memorials," Gary says. Also out of bounds is anything from the surface of the moon, such as moon rocks, pebbles, core samples and nearly all of the 842 pounds of moon dust that was flown back to earth. All such samples are considered a national treasure, Gary says, and it's illegal for individuals to own them."

The moon landing did happen.
Controversial, at best.
Whether or not the moon landings occurred, there was a lot of staged, falsified shit associated with them. "Moon Rocks" that have been given to foreign governments by NASA have been found out to be fakes. One in Scandinavia was found to be a piece of petrified wood. There have been "moon rocks" already on earth, presumably blasted off by impacts and landing on earth just like other meteorites and "mars rocks".

Yes, really. Your quote confirms exactly what I say. There is no law prohibiting the sale of space material that you legitimately own. Stealing federal property, or in fact, stealing anything does not allow you to legally sell it though. If you take a piece of a blow-up space shuttle then you are stealing property. If you legally obtain a moon rock, then you can certainly sell it.
Just because a rock originated on the moon does not mean that it is automatically the federal government's property because it is a national treasure. Moon rocks land on the Earth all the time when asteroids hit the moon and kick up debris. You can have a rock tested to see if it comes from the moon as the chemical composition and physical signs of impact reveal its history.

Really? I have to defend the historical truth of the moon landing on PatNet?
Still, probably not the worst thing that happened at Denny's that night.
At least she can sue the bastards.
Widow can sue over NASA sting operation to ‘forcibly seize’ moon rock
Oh, stop it. She was breaking the law, even though she did not realize it. They had a job to do.

That's not what the courts have said. What the courts -- you know, the people who judge what the law is -- said was
In this week’s ruling, the judges said Davis made a case that the detention violated her constitutional right regarding unreasonable seizure. She is suing agent Norman Conley, who “had no law enforcement interest in detaining Davis for two hours while she stood wearing urine-soaked pants in a restaurant’s parking lot during the lunch rush,†wrote Thomas.
You really hate it when the little guy wins one. Why do you hate the common American so much that you always want to see him beaten and humiliated by the state? Is that some daddy complex?

I hate violent criminals. I would love to see them beaten on a daily basis.

How is this granny a violent criminal deserving to be beaten?

Where did I say she was? I'm just saying a 75 year old urinating in her pants while being questioned is not a big deal.
You just turn everything law enforcement does into some kind of illegal human rights abuse.
I have never understood why people like you have such a hard on over law enforcement designed to protect the citizen from the criminal.
Where did I say she was?
My question wasn't what you thought of criminals but rather why do you have such loathing for the little guy who isn't a criminal like this old widow. You just love it when the state brutalizes an innocent person in a show of force. I think it's valid to ask why.
You just turn everything law enforcement does into some kind of illegal human rights abuse.
Actually, the court decided that.

Some people in government need to be thrown in prison for a decade so they can appreciate the value of freedom.
