I think you are down the wormhole. Was the press partisan when they took down Franken, Conyers, Weinstein, etc.? And he didn't have support from Trump at that point--Trump supported his primary opponent.

Of course Roy Moore has support from Trump NOW, only after he defeated Luther Strange, who was the Trump MAGA candidate.

I’d wager $10,000 that most all of Moores defenders are simply reflexively defending Moore, because he is a Republican, rather than actually reading up on the accusations against him, which tends to lead to people like Trump to say things like “there’s a special place in hell for pedophiles like Roy Moore”.
