The ATF was making such a huluballoo, the postal worker mentioned it to Koresh in a casual conversation about how they were coming. The press was gathering around town, too.

Total failure of the ATF to win surprise, or to do it in a bloodless fashion, like drive up to Koresh while he was on his daily jog and throw him in the back of a vehicle.

Waco is a great example of a Authorities looking for "We Bad Ass" Press over Good Tactics.

Sheriff Israel is another showman who put style over substance. He threw the deputies under the bus by getting them to resign, now it turns out it was his orders that prevented them from storming the school.

Who cares? You can't execute a search warrant on a guy jogging. They needed to find the evidence before they could arrest him.

The bottom line is Goresh was a complete nutjob who shot and killed Federal Agents trying to lawfully execute a search warrant. There is absolutely no defense for it. He deserved it 1000X more than any of the cases you listed previously but you somehow rationalize it. Because he's white.
