Most of politics is merely rationalizations for opinions formed for other reasons.

The real reasons may be good or bad, but they are as a rule never actually spoken out loud because they are either embarrassing, or politically incorrect, or career suicide.

It would be super-interesting if people could actually say what they really mean, like "I hate working class white people, especially Christians" or "I don't want to live anywhere near black people. They scare me."

What is the left?

Is it the SJWs? In part, and they suck.

Is it believing in public education? I do, and that makes me a lefty doesn't it? There are problems with the public system, but I believe it could improve if we give educators more disciplinary options. Kind of a righty opinion that last part?

I believe in fiscal responsibility, which doesn't seem to apply to any political party on the face of the earth.

I was a victim of affirmative action a couple of decades ago, but decided it was a necessary evil. I'd preferred if they called it tactical discrimination, because it didn't feel very affirmative to me. The term reverse discrimination was even worse. Now I think it's time to wrap it up.

I'd like to see universal health care in the US, because it would make the US more competitive. If an individual wants to leave a dead end job with good health insurance to start an entrepreneurial initiative, they would have more confidence in doing so with universal health care. Why stop with insuring the poor and the old who provide minimal economic inputs, when there could be insurance for the producers to improve job mobility.

I'm convinced that the core of Trumpism is belief in strawman arguments. That's basically all Trump supporters have.

The right's lame attempt to point fingers to the DNC's past is the same as telling everyone who won the superbowl in 1992.

None of us give a shit about that. All of care about whats happening... right NOW... As in more in the news today that Trump's campaign did in fact meet with Russian lawyers to dig up dirt on Hillary. Even the advisor to the Trump campaign advised against doing it and yet Trump Jr and other members of Trump's campaign did so anyway. The transcripts were released today, this DID happen, and as such it IS an example of a campaign intentionally using a foreign nation to affect the outcome of an election.

That's about as Un-American as it gets. And as such those whom still support Trump support a man who more or less betrayed his own country.

So you can yammer on and on till the cows come home about the Clintons, "Lib-Rals", Antifa, Immigrants and the Democratic party's past in the 1960's South but NONE of that will come close to deflecting from Trump and the GOP's current actions.

The stereotype is used constantly to justify anti-white hatred, but most Southern white people are much more like Bill Clinton than like the Grand Wizard.

It's not about solutions, that usually requires effort. It's about creating awareness.
