shying away from creating more affordable housing. Brown worked with developer lobbyists he knew from his legislator days to demolish single-room occupancy hotels and other low-income homes, making room for well-heeled dot com workers.
Guess he wants to leave for Sacramento before the SF street shit hits the fan.
I believe Jerry Brown has been good for California.
I believe Jerry Brown has been good for California. I like a lot of the things he's done. He's actually a very conservative guy in many ways. But I get it that you libertarians can't comprehend that running surpluses and paying your bills is ever prudent, if it involves using taxes to do so.
I don't have faith that Newsome could hold a candle to Brown though. But then it's also tough for me to vote for an unknown republican. But I might. It's unlikely that I will ever vote for a republican for President. Governor though, is totally doable.
Jerry Brown?
What's good about his administration? You like open boarders, sanctuary state, where illegal immigrants have the right to vote? Do you Democrats have any self respect at all? What do you have to say about that?
It is now legal for homeless people to take a dump on the street. An online map is needed to track human feces on city streets
Drug injection sites have resulted in dangerous hypodermic needles littering the streets.
San Francisco's leaning, sinking Millennium Tower, with windows cracking on every floor.
Property crime is running amok
Public urination is so widespread it has damaged subway elevators and escalators, building walls and power poles
The cost of housing and living is the highest in the Bay Area, and it has the most property crime in the nation, according to the FBI.
San Francisco’s brand has taken hits in the media, with headlines such as “Why San Francisco is the Worst Place Ever,” “34 percent of Bay Area Residents are Ready to Leave,” and “Complaints of Syringes and Feces Rise Dramatically in SF.”
Their ‘sanctuary’ policies have resulted in thousands of undocumented people living there.
Democratic rule since 1996, with the mayoral election of former state speaker Willie Brown, has resulted in increased government, taxation and building regulations while shying away from creating more affordable housing. Brown worked with developer lobbyists he knew from his legislator days to demolish single-room occupancy hotels and other low-income homes, making room for well-heeled dot com workers.
Brown made it legal for the homeless to sleep in public and block sidewalks.
Smash-and-grab thefts from locked cars are so common that car repair shops have waiting lists.
And there's this: “With a crime rate of 70 per one thousand residents, San Francisco has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes,” says the data collection site Neighborhood Scout. “One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 14. Within California, more than 98% of the communities have a lower crime rate than San Francisco.”
As if city policy wasn’t liberal enough, it is proposing to spend $5 million on lawyers to defend illegal immigrants against Trump's push to deport criminals
If you want Newsom to implement the same failed policies that made SF such a f**king mess, then don’t vote for Cox, but Cox is the kind of candidate that is dedicated to solving problems. He concentrates on the issues, and doesn’t get side-tracked by the Kavanaugh hearing like Gavin Newsom, who couldn’t even be bothered with campaigning for governor. What does that say about caring for the issues that concern you? Just vote for him and see what happens: he’s not making any promises. Whereas Cox has a plan to make California great again.
