E-verify law would be way more effective than a wall and a lot cheaper, why didn't that get done in the last 2 years?
Same reason E-Verify was not done under Obama's 8 years - neither Democrats nor most Republicans want to end illegal immigration. Trump and some Republicans (along with most Americans) are the only people who want to curb illegals. I am hoping that the wall is the first step, and E-Verify will be pushed next. E-verify will be strongly opposed by Democrats who will cite "racism" and false positives, while non-Trump Republicans will just ignore any proposed E-Verify legislation and hope it dies.
I have a fence around the pool but I don't think it's actually requred by law. At least not in CA. Gives a peace of mind though.
I have one around my backyard, and it IS required here. I changed homeowners insurance companies, and they sent a clown out to do a visible inspection, and because the clown didn't see the lock on my gate, they were going to cancel the policy, as they won't take the liability.
and guess what, not a single illegal immigrant has come over the fence to use my pool. See, walls/fences work to keep out illegals. What about that, @marcus ?
Sounds like you aren't allowed to try without a fence but I'm suspecting that without a fence you'd still not have trouble with illegals coming to use your pool.
This is true, I'd doubt many would try, because this is what they would see, don't need a fence to protect my pool (or anything else):
This is a celebration of tribal identity as much as a rejection of discussing wall benefits that are supported by case studies.
Why no data?
Ever?
Someone needs to quote the three examples I posted in the other wall thread, so our buddy here with the TDS can see them. He has me on ignore, so I can't "educate him with Data and Facts.

Lock her up! lock her up! #you cant make this stuff up
A hell of a lot less than the $100 billion spent to give services to the illegals every year, that's for sure.
When is it scheduled on the democrat House's agenda?
No you need both.
Neither did Democrats. Now the wall, so at least 1 out of 2, is in play. Better than then Dems.
Why wasn't it done for the 8 years between 2009 - 2016? Not enough time?
Were there no illegal workers in the country during that time period?

Recent negotiation reviled that Democrats in Congress:
1. Listen like a Wall
2. Talk like a Wall
3. Reject facts like a Wall.
4. Think like a Wall.
