Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night called white supremacy a “hoax,” comparing it to the investigation of Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election and saying it is being used to divide the country.

“This is a hoax, just like the Russian hoax,” Carlson said during a segment on his program. “It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power.”

Carlson said. "If you were to assemble a list, a hierarchy of concerns, of problems this country faces, where would white supremacy be on the list? Right up there with Russia, probably. It’s actually not a real problem in America. The combined membership of every white supremacist organization in this country would be able to fit inside a college football stadium. I mean, seriously. This is a country where the average person is getting poorer, where the suicide rate is spiking. ‘White supremacy, that’s the problem.’ This is a hoax. Just like the Russia hoax. It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power. That’s exactly what’s going on.”

And in fact, the only ads Russia placed before the election, and continues to place, specifically play up and invent fake white supremacy "threats".

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/17/facebooks-vp-of-ads-says-russian-meddling-aimed-to-divide-us.html

Facebook has come under intense scrutiny as more information has surfaced about how Russian actors used those platforms to spread misinformation online.
Facebook VP of ads Rob Goldman said Russian meddling was more to sow distrust and chaos in the U.S. political system than to specifically elect Trump.

So who is more to blame for the "white supremacy" hoax, Russia or the US Chamber of Commerce? They both have big obvious motives:

1. Russia wants to weaken their great competitor. China does this too, and has robo-posted divisive comments on this very site. I can see the origin IP addresses.

2. The US Chamber of Commerce wants to drive down wages for ordinary Americans through mass import of illegals.

I suppose there is a third group who finds it useful to divide us with this hoax: the Democratic Party. They hope to get votes by appealing to fear.

Here is the right answer: All American citizens are on the same team, one family. We should all be looking out for each other, defending our borders, and bringing back jobs outsourced by globalists.

Which is a bigger problem today and where do we need our politicians to put their efforts?

White supremacy or Russian collusion?

If these forces aren’t stopped, we are doomed.

lol the Russians are the new Jews. Don't shop at the Russians! Reeeeeeeeee!

I’m going out for a walk.

What should I do if I encounter white supremacy? Should I bring garlic? kryptonite? Should I put my arms up to look tall, like you would when encountering a mountain lion?

Please let me know how I can protect myself from all the white supremacy out there.

Safest bet is to move to Guam. I hear they are the true melting pot of American territories.

I don’t know, I’ve heard the msm, it seems we are at risk of white supremacy everywhere 😩

Perhaps you misinterpreted those likes.

Perhaps you misinterpret what people can mean by "white supremacy."

I would agree that Trump has divided and weakened us. IT's rather extreme.

It’s not President Trump that has divided us but rather a highly politicized Main Street media.

White Guilt hasn't been completely wrung out for free shit. Is Jussie Smollett wearing white face and a KKK hood in the streets of Chicago yet?

Then how do you explain reality based conservatives such as George Will.

Bowtie Milquetoast has conserved nothing. Compassionate Conservatives' job is to pat down the Deploreables with Platitudes and be the Fake Opposition.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when i say almost nobody on this board - of any political stripe - awaits George WIll columns with baited breath.

If White Supremacy and Whiteness and White Privilege is a thing...

Why was Elizabeth Warren pretending to be a Native American in official documents since the mid 1980s?

The 'true' white supremacists are no kinder to so called 'whites' who don't agree with them then they are to the various bogey man minorities.

If you are white and don't agree with them, do you get victim status and free shit?

Russian interference was minimal, and you know it. A few Facebook ads, and not all for Trump.

I would alter that to ... to push Black Lives Matter. Which is indeed where the Russians spent most of their ad budget, and their infamous Pokemon giveaway was for the best BLM supporting memes.

Russians wanted Bernie at best, but at least to sow racial division. Too bad the Russians didn't think of White Supremacy in 2016!

Not a typo, I thought it was baited, not bated. Thanks for the correction.

I'm sure our media institutions will help us sort through this in an unbiased manner.
New York Times staffer: And so, to me, it’s less about the individual instances of racism, and sort of how we’re thinking about racism and white supremacy as the foundation of all of the systems in the country.
34   Patrick   2019 Aug 27, 7:36pm

This "white supremacy" hoax was on NPR today, and the NY Times is clearly going to use it because their fabrications about Russia turned out to be the biggest nothingburger ever (or is that the smallest nothingburger?)

That's got to be one of this forums all time stupidest questions.

Why is she pretending to not be white if white supremacy isn't a thing ?

Yes. Why did obviously White Elizabeth Warren pretend to be Native American since the mid 1980s, allowing herself to be featured as the first Amerindian Professor at Harvard Law... if White Privilege is a thing.

Hahahahahahahaha. You crack me up !

You don't think that we as a culture wouldn't have to pretty much believe that being white is a competitive advantage in many places before we would start sometimes giving preferential treatment to minority individuals, just for being from a minority ?

No. China & Japan do not give preferential treatment to minorities. Most countries in the world only give preferential treatment to natives.

Only countries with post-modern disease do so.

Affirmative action is on the decline and has been for a long time. But only a total idiot would not understand that having it for while accelerated the diversification of our workforce in both the corporate and public sectors.

And it's only smart policy ultimately creating a culture where race is irrelevant and only competence matters in hiring decisions. The question is how do you get to that point without it taking a thousand years, especially when you take in to account all types of competencies, including social dimensions. Sure, moving in that direction has been less than perfectly fair for everyone at times.

It shouldn't take 1,000's of years to convince people to stop having children unless there are 2 married parents prepared to raise children.

It took about 25 years for the African America out of wedlock birth rate to skyrocket 50 points thanks to bad government welfare policies from the 1960's that incentivised this terrible behavior.

Virtually all of our criminals, mass shooters, gang-bangers............(and poor/uneducated people) come from single parent households.

There is no government welfare or school program that can make up for absent fathers.

Bingo. Only thing that could overcome an absent father is a really tight knit family and friend structure that can help out. I'm guessing the stats aren't the same, but a missing mom is problematic too.

That's not even ideal. Boys need men in their lives. Yet I have had debates on this forum with a couple of well meaning Lefties who truly seem to believe there is no difference between mothers and fathers in raising boys.

How many Chicago gang-bangers have a Mom, Granny and several Aunties in their lives helping to take care of the family?

The political Left destroyed the family to make more people dependent on government. And now we have several generations of people locked in grinding poverty, ignorance and crime.

Imagine if our cultural and political leaders started shaming this destructive behavior and curbed the welfare that incentivized it?

I agree 100%. I'm unfortunately in a position with one nephew that I try to play that role as much as I can though. So that's what I meant by a tight knit family. Not ideal, but so far the kid is doing well. He's also in a well off position of not struggling with food and lodging on the mom's end. So my case is not the same as Chicago bangers, but it's not far off without getting into details.

I've taken him camping with my boys for a week up in Wisconsin, just the four of us. He's generally at our house every weekend. I have no issue handing out discipline with him either. We'll see though as he hits his teenage years. I do worry about it as we do go stretches of a month sometimes without seeing him. His mom is good, but she's a touch crazy hence the situation she got i. She's leveled out over the last 2-4 years though with her antics.

In the most racist era outside of the 19th century, 1900-1960, the black family was as stable as the white family if not living in equal circumstances, with out of wedlock births in the low double digits for black and whites alike.

And it cuts across class lines.

It doesn't matter if the single mom is on welfare or makes $150k in income from work/inheritance/alimony with lots of paid childcare - the outcome is ALWAYS poorer.

Yep - and Blacks were more likely to married, less likely to be divorced than Whites. I said more likely to married, and at younger ages.
