(looking at the glass of beer in my hand) Why do I need paper straws again?

From what I hear about SF sidewalks, one may think toilets are already banned.
There's free needle access stations all over 6th street, hence junkies injecting on every corner, feces on the street everywhere despite mobile bathrooms and you get harassed by people smelling so badly that it triggers the gag reflex. After you circumvent all those obstacles without getting shit on your clothes or attacked by some zombie you may find yourself with $100 ticket for bring 5 minutes late to the parking space. SF is a typical corrupt leftoid textbook failure example. Don't be like SF.
I'm not the only one in this thread who would not even notice if straws disappeared tomorrow. Hell, I've even figured out how to mix my coffee without using a piece of plastic once and throwing it away.
Reducing single use disposable plastic is a worthwhile goal. Fucking STRAWS are an unnecessary habit we can easily get rid of as a society.
But that's besides the point. A city or state as dirty and drug and feces ridden as SF/CA needs to clean up their environment in many more meaningful ways before they should even think about a relative non issue such as plastic straws.
An annoyance to consumers and totally unnecessary.
Who is with me?
