They are trying very hard not to take a stand or to downplay it. What I saw, to me, that was murder. Because I know if I choke someone like that on a street and they die, I'll be in jail.

This government in my view has created law and a group of people who are above the law, they are not policing the police, just like no one is watching the watchers at NSA. To me it's an oversight problem.

* The panel heard from 50 witnesses, 22 of whom were civilians. The remaining witnesses were police officers, emergency medical personnel and doctors.

* 60 exhibits were admitted into evidence, including four videos, records of NYPD policies and procedures, medical records pertaining to Garner's treatments, autopsy and on-scene photos and NYPD training records.

* The grand jury was instructed on relevant principles of the law, including the penal law regarding a police officer's use of physical force in making an arrest.

This does not answer questions. I don't think having the supreme faith in the grand jury is healthy. In fact, as mentioned by someone in the comment section, Cato Institute foresaw this problem long time ago.

It has been speculated that many members of the grand jury have some relative in the police force. Hope we get more information about them.

I don't think it is about race. There have been many alleged police brutality incidents on non-blacks as well. Most of them are not reported by the national news media.

Wanting "them" all dead will be bad for you. You need their labor.

They reviewed more material, but the material may have been selected by a biased individual, and the grand jury may have been selected by a biased individual. The prosecutor may have not given it his all.

More data does not always make the answer better.

They should change the way Police do things. If I can't grab some Jackass who's cutting up and acting the damn fool without that person having ME arrested for assault and violence. Then I don't think the cops can either. These people should not be allowed to dole out professional ass whoopings when others can not.
If we're supposed to be some peaceful society that doesn't get physical and resolves our conflicts with out resorting to violence then the Cops have to play by those rules to.

Now I think you all know my policy, if community justice was allowed, and we didn't criminalize a good thorough judiciary ass kicking when they are used against the village creep, crook, thief, voyeur ect... Then these cops wouldn't be needed in the first place. Had the store owner been able to go out side and tell that guy selling Cigarettes in front of his store to get lost or he'll kick his ass. So when a person resists arrest they should send out arrest negotiators to try to get the guy to surrender and put on the hand cuffs. If that fails, they should have trained people wranglers who are skilled at nonlethal getting people secured, in hand cuffs and stuffed in the backseat of a police car. By using nets, fast drying restraint foam, or a loop on on a stick.

Then just like people who need to be rescued when they wander out in the snow, or on a mountain, these people should get the $25,000 bill for the team of Liberal Ass kissers and Ape handlers to get him subdued.

The Eric Garner case is less about race than about several state sponsored thugs ganging up on and killing a man suspected of a non-violent crime. The video might be the only piece of evidence most of us have seen but clearly this man (eric) never attempted to hurt anyone while the camera was running. The use of deadly force by police appears to be unwarranted in this instance. The police need to be held accountable. It is obvious that we cannot rely on the legal process to do so. What are the alternatives?

Time for a libertarian to step in & explain why we should rejoice in these strong, manly police officers cracking skulls.

Non-judicial beatings and executions. That's what small government is all about.
