Yesterday, Russian cyber-security firm, Kaspersky, revealed and published the technical details of the ability of the National Security Agency (NSA) to eavesdrop on practically any computer in the entire world.

Isn't that against the law, to release spying viruses against American citizens? That really conflicts with the "Search and Seizures" 4th amendment.

Amazing technical prowess, and they do appear to have aimed specifically at legitimately legal targets. Still, a bit scary for anyone online: it feels like swimming in the ocean and seeing a nuclear submarine surface and cruise past. Just doing their job, I guess, while the rest of us wonder WTH kind of equipment and software we have been relying on to "secure" our own data all these years.

anybody thats stupid enough to install a russian anti-virus agent on their computer deserves whatever they get.
unless you have the ability to decode every bit that program sends out from your computer into the russian servers...
