Wife Texted ‘I Love You’ To Omar Mateen During Orlando Nightclub Shooting

ORLANDO (CBSNewYork/CBS News) — The Orlando nightclub gunman and his wife were texting each other during the massacre at Pulse early Sunday morning, CBS News confirms.

CBS News reports that Omar Mateen and his wife, Noor Salman, exchanged texts while he was slaughtering 49 people at the gay nightclub.

Salman texted “I love you” to Mateen during the attack.

CBS News previously reported Salman was with Mateen when he bought ammunition. Investigators believe the wife drove with Mateen to case the nightclub before the attack.
