I've made four times as much money from passive investments this year as I have ever made from working.

Thank You, Great Orange One!

Wow--you can't make this stuff up. Every independent analysis agrees with the Dems and calls Republican claims lies.

Luckily the American public isn't fooled. This tax plan is less popular than most previous tax increases.

It's only Trumpkins that think this is a good idea....
7   anonymous   2017 Dec 20, 11:06am

These are all great, but these would all have been done by Cruz or any other Republican. Trump isn't off the hook until he delivers on immigration, and his supporters need to make sure he understands that. If Trump doesn't accomplish significant reform in this area, USA is over.

Build a wall and send illegals back. Trump needs to stop getting sucked into reform cat fights with Liberals. They hate America and the laws already exist that says, Trump can hog tie them and personally heave them in the back of a dump truck going South.
Reform is Liberalease speak for lets break what works.

Liberals have no right nor legal authority to block the President or any Agency from enforcing Immigration laws.

What is important, is some kind of Justice reform, that makes Activist Hacks on the bench bragging about the service they are doing for one political party or one group over the other. Lands their ass in Pound me in the Ass prison with the lowlifes they sent there during their career.

Problem solved. Without that anything Trump does now, will just be undone by the Next Obama that appoints a shit load of partisan hacks that are out to make a name for themselves in Liberal circles.

I think that’s entirely the fault of the mainstream media which has been relentlessly critical of this tax plan as it has been relentlessly critical of anything connected to Trump.

I was chatting with my Latino coworker yesterday about it and he expressed disgust about it and openly wondered how much more he’d have to start paying. I informed him that due to him being a family man, he could expect more money back, and that most of his deductions would remain in place. Also the tax percentage he’d pay on the remaining would be lower, and the entire plan would net him $3-4K/year. He was pretty floored and wound up optimistic.

The media and left wing commentary sites that post on facebook and other social media have everyone so twisted through their propaganda. Multiple posters here have posted of the tax savings they would have, yet you have a liar like Happy Gilmore bleating out that this still hurts the middle class.

Its preposterous and time we start calling a liar a liar.

Speaking of Which:

AT&T is giving $1,000 bonuses to 200,000 employees after tax bill

AT&T is paying bonuses of $1,000 to more than 200,000 U.S. employees.
AT&T's CEO said it was in response to tax reform.
The House of Representatives on Wednesday sent tax reform legislation to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it soon.

Then two major banks announced:

Wells Fargo, Fifth Third Bancorp unveil minimum wage hikes after tax bill passage

Fifth Third and AT&T are paying employees special bonuses after getting tax cuts under the Republican tax plan.
Wells Fargo said Wednesday that it would boost minimum wages for employees to $15 an hour, following Fifth Third's similar announcement.

When did spelling things wrong like muh and moar, etc. become funny?
20   Ceffer   2017 Dec 20, 2:50pm

Being a rapacious, scum sucking, rent seeking, calloused oligarch isn't half as bad as the libbies have painted it.
21   Shaman   2017 Dec 20, 2:54pm

It honestly doesn’t matter what the media and the Democrats (interchangeable) say, because people vote with their wallets. Next year the tax cut will go into effect, with new withholding tables out by March. The withholdings will be less per paycheck than last year. With obviously fatter paychecks than last year, the working class will understand the truth immediately: that Democrats were lying, that the media is not to be trusted, and that Trump is good for their personal fortunes.

At the 2018 midterms, Democrats are going to get slaughtered!

It’s the economy, stupid!

Agreed. In the end when most productive members of society - who are still in the slight majority - have figured out that they have net more cash left after the tax cuts they will abandon most ill-will towards the brash orange cheeto and say four moar years! And any trust towards the Dems and/or lamestream media will be completely gone.

That’s what makes the party so “special!” They include the most uneducated and incarcerated populations and also the rich snooty-for-no-reason elitists who pretend their interest in humanity while grinding less entitled people under their capitalist heel. There’s someone in the Democrat Party for everyone to hate!

32   Goran_K   2017 Dec 20, 8:14pm

Democrats: This tax plan adds 1.5 trillion to the deficit over 10 years! This will kill the economy!!!!

Also Democrats: Obama adding $8.4 trillion in just 8 years is just good economic sense.

Democrats wouldn't have standards if it weren't for double standards.

You can't tell the difference between a free market decision to pay people more money and the government artificially setting a wage floor?

Those are TWO different things you know.

I don’t see this as a Free Market decision, rather a political (government) effect on the marketplace.

Either way, to a man right wingers were whining about how 15$ an hour would crush the economy. Funny, all of a sudden now $15 is a good thing. At least yous are consistent
