Of course they are. And among other things, PG&E is nevertheless spending lots of money on smarmy self-aggrandizing advertising on several of the larger SF Bay Area TV stations. You may have seen these ads: The ads generally involve the theme of PG&E crews "helping" fire crews avoid the dangers of electrical wires and gas pipes during firefighting. And not only that, the ads are generally purchased and aired specifically during local news shows!! Think about that for a moment: What is going on certainly has the appearance that PG&E is attempting to bribe the local TV news stations into being less vocal about allegations that PG&E is at fault for the 2017 Wine Country wildfires.
ADDEDNUM: One of those investigative TV news teams should investigate whether any fire departments are getting paid for participating in the advertising
