The international community usually looks to the US to be a leader in criminal justice, transparency, and the rule of law. But when it comes to exposing money laundering, we’ve fallen behind.

Bad actors from all over the world have chosen the US as their financial safe haven. The notorious Russian arms trafficker Viktor Bout was found guilty in 2011 of conspiring to kill Americans and sell weapons to terrorists. He used a dozen shell companies formed in Texas, Delaware, and Florida to hide assets in the U.S.

In the defense industry, anonymous companies can obtain contracts with the Department of Defense. One report uncovered an Afghan company that was contracted to supply our troops but was secretly owned by the Taliban.

Supply them with what? Goat milk? What do our troops need that could be locally sourced in Afghanistan? Rin might say hookers.

The US of A is a criminal enterprise, just as the Founding Fathers intended! Praise Liberty!

If US does NOT allow them to launder here, they will launder in Switzerland. Property prices will drop. I thought US leave real estate brokerage house outside of the money laundering law and cracked down swiss account for that laundering business and jack up real estate prices.

ROFL. You are right. I can't think of anything except, goat milk, drugs, prostitutes, and bad intelligence.

You guys need to read more carefully. Where does it say supply local products? WTF, you don't think an afgahn company can import? They were international traders for two millennia before America existed.

LOL. So they might import tanks from America, to sell to America. All because they traded fur skins in the past.
Bob, you are so funny.

These guys are just catching on? This has been well known around the world for decades. Who the hell does anyone think is buying trump properties? Send 10k to a bank account from overseas it's reported. Wire transfer 10 million to buy a property, no scrutiny of any kind. Then you can take a mortgage against the property and have nice clean cash. But wait, we are cracking down, hahahahaha Cash sales In miami now have the title company report the owners to fincen. Except wire transfers. or people who simply don't buy title insurance. I wonder how long it took the drug dealers to figure that one out. How anxious do you think the real estate industry is to crack down on all this money pouring into high end real estate?

Which makes the US position of being policeman of every other countries banking system totally ridiculous. .
