#BREAKING: Police audio obtained by TMZ says that a handgun was recovered near the body of the YouTube shooter.

Damn, what will David Hogg tweet now?

Wait - this is a Youtube Employee. Are you guys telling me that in California, it's okay to come to work with that kind of dyed hair? That HR doesn't tell you it's inappropriate?

Is Xir 16 or 26? Grow the fuck up.

This other dude they were interviewing, couldn't have been less than 25, looked more like 30s, talking about skateboarding to work. Senior Engineer.

The last time I had dyed hair was in my Freshman Year in College.

No wonder Youtube policies are all fucked up. Permateens are reviewing the content.

Will Youtube post the video of the shooting on their web site?

Look for it on PornHub.

A female shooter? A jealous girlfriend maybe?

45   Patrick   2018 Apr 3, 4:16pm

So what was the shooter's name?

Also, one eyewitness in a video said someone was shot ten times, but it's not clear who that was. Doesn't make sense for no one but the shooter to be dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

We still don't know. Why the secrecy?

From the police Presser:

- Four victims transported to hospital, three had gunshots, the fourth had an ankle injury.

- No immediate threat to the community.

- Inter-agency backslapping.

- Police were on scene within two minutes.

- Police Chief won't name of the shooter, says he doesn't know.

- Weapon used was a handgun.

- Won't say when the employees can claim their cars and personal belongings.

- Police Chief will not have anymore information today.

I have to agree with the basser here and others. The secrecy is ridiculous. If they have a dead body with a gun and projectiles/bullets, not to mention surveillance video everywhere it should take 5 minutes to release the info. The public has a right to timely and full/truthful information.

I get the impression that the delay in releasing the information is intended to give our owners more time to decide how to spin it.

Even more interesting is the possibility that Twitter and, ironically, YouTube have emergency censorship procedures to prevent them from being used to circumvent our owners' wishes.

OK, I just checked PornHub for "YouTube shooting" and it just turned up porn.

Please post the link if you see any info about the shooting there.

The longer it takes for the name to come out - and they certainly knew a while ago, the more likely that name has a suffix like "Al-"

Update V: As details of the moments leading up to the shooting begin to emerge, NBC News reported that the still unnamed suspect was a woman in her 30s who opened fire on an outdoor dining area during lunchtime.

Authorities have also confirmed that they believe her motivation was a domestic dispute with a boyfriend.

*

Update IV: Police have confirmed that the shooter, who has not yet been named, did not work at YouTube but came to campus with the intention of shooting her boyfriend.

Police are now reporting that there were four victims, including the dead shooter. Reports have emerged that domestic violence could've been a motivating factor in the shooting. The boyfriend who was reportedly the target was probably the one male transported to San Francisco General. The hospital said of the three victims, he was in the worst shape. In addition, four or five patients were taken to Stanford hospital.

Hearing the shooter is a Persian Female Vegan Bodybuilder named Nasim Aghdam. Apparently she had a beef with youtube over her account. Check out her page below. Crazy cuckoo lady.

FUCKIN' KNEW IT!!!

Nasime Aghdam. Which is definitely a Caspian Area name. Not sure if Azeri, Persian, or what. And she was a Lefty.

The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit has confirmed the identity of the shooter who opened fire on YouTube’s campus in San Bruno Tuesday. Her name is Nasim Aghdam, and she lives in Southern California.

Aghdam has a robust presence on YouTube. In a video posted in January 2017, she says You Tube “discriminated and filtered” her content. In the video Aghdam says her channel used to get lots of views but that after being filtered by the company, it received fewer views. In a Facebook post from February 2017 Aghdam blasted YouTube saying, “There is not equal growth opportunity on You Tube.”

The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit has also learned the license plate on a car towed from YouTube’s campus Tuesday is registered to Aghdam. In 2014, she posted a video on YouTube of what appears to be the same car, stating that it was vandalized by “anti-vegans” because the car had a sign saying “meat is murder.”

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Sources confirm to our sister station ABC7 News, that the YouTube shooter was a user of the platform. Nasim Aghdam has an alleged website with a manifesto that targets YouTube for censorship and demonetization of her video content.

RELATED: 1 dead, 4 injured in shooting at YouTube HQ in San Bruno

Aghdam is said to have no relationship with anyone in the YouTube facility.

Sources say Aghdam did not have an ID badge, but was carrying a purse, and that nobody in the facility knew who she was.

...

Feb. 20, YouTube enacted a new advertising policy that demonetized channels with less than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time. Though Aghdam's main English channel had more than 5,000 subscribers, many of her videos appeared to be demonetized.

By the way, another thing -- exudes that 'overcaffinated' hyper-nervous Vegan energy. Some of her videos are still up.

Nasim does seem quite angry at YouTube:

So is the "boyfriend" story just bullshit?
62   MrMagic   2018 Apr 3, 8:52pm

Authorities don’t believe that Aghdam, 39, had any direct connection to YouTube. According to NBC News, she did have a YouTube channel. She often posted videos that included “rants” against the company, according to the information supplied by NBC.

“Nasim the Persian Azeri female vegan bodybuilder, also animal rights activist promoting healthy and humane living. Nasim produced and launched the first Persian TV commercial and music video (Do You Dare) regarding animal rights and veganism through international Iranian satellite Television in 2010,” read the “About” section on her YouTube channel.

Preliminary information suggests that the suspect targeted at least one victim in the shooting. According to KRON 4, the female suspect shot her boyfriend.

Although police have not yet revealed a motive in the shooting, sources told MSNBC correspondents that the motive behind the shooting appears to be a “domestic-related dispute” and not terror-related “in any way.”

“This woman came to the YouTube workplace with a specific target in mind; someone she knew, someone with whom she wanted to settle a grievance. She shot that person, she may have shot a second person who was with him, intentionally. We’re not sure about the third person,” Pete Williams said on MSNBC.

Yeah, I don't think she was an Islamist, I think she was a Lefty Vegan, and as we all know Vegans love violence and threats (see Durian Rider, Vegan Gains, and many others) combined with Youtube demonetizing her ass, made her flip.

She had a legit complaint though, they demonetized and otherwise downgraded her workout videos (which show she ain't no ISIS member) for "Age Restrictions", when they're about as boring and plain exercise videos as can be. She's not even in a bikini or yoga pants.

75   MisdemeanorRebel   2018 Apr 3, 9:47pm

Boy, Youtube did not want this.

She's a Vegan, and she's a minority, and she flipped out over being demonetized really for no good reason. No cursing, no beheadings, no racial/religious talk other than "Don't kil the Chickens, Purdue!" type crap that all Vegans say.

It's not worth killing random people over, but figure this gal was just about making some money off her videos and maybe because she said "Iranian" in "Iranian Recipes for Fenugreek" (not exaggeration, she did have Iranian Vegan Recipes on Youtube) the rough and dirty and far from precise Algos that youtube employed decided to flag her channels. i think those social media policing algos are much shittier and primitive than the PR says and the investors are told.

I know that Lionel and the Amazing Atheist got their Syria videos demonetized, probably just because "Syria" was in the title, so it could be she was demonetized for "iran".

"Is youtube driving people to murder with their unjust and unfair content policing?" is a good talking point.

Agreed. $50 says YouTube won't address the censorship issue in regards to this case.
