Remember, this is not Des Moines Iowa. There are some 90 sub-nationalities in Cambridge MA and we've assimilated just about anyone who's come to America as a student, a worker, a refugee, or a family reunion member for eons.
But yes, the Boston bombers were radicalized in that above ... so-called community center. In contrast, the Zen Center, roughly 0.5 miles away (see below) doesn't harbor extremists.
In less than a square mile, one religion has resulted in Boston's first terrorist attack since the King Phillip War (which was really a race war between whites and Native Americans) before the revolution, and the other, a peaceful gathering place for countless Bostonians and visitors.
