Bill Gates-backed project is ready for the first time this summer to produce and sell lab-grown "meat" that is to be made out of GMO yeast.

"The San Leandro, California-based company Memphis Meats company’s lab created meat products, which have historically been made with GMO yeast, will be available on store shelves in Mississippi this summer."

Why yes, folks, you can fry up a nice well-done steak of laboratory-made GMO yeast-made-to-look-and-taste-like-meat. And of course, we're not told whether or not there has been any long-term intergenerational studies of the health effects of this "meat," but my guess is no. Why go to all that expense: putting it out now is the laboratory test.

I heard about this from my wife. She said they take a gene for “heme” from a soy bean plant and insert it into some yeast. Then they ferment something or other with the yeast and the yeast makes the heme product which somehow tastes like meat.

So, I suppose it should be ok, if a bit icky to think about. Then again, most people don’t want to know about the process which turns barley and water into beer, producing lots of dead yeast along the way.

I vow to never shop or eat anywhere that sells it.
It's like the artificial sweeteners. Once you accept it, it's not long before they stop labeling it, and put in everything and in places you wouldn't expect to find it.

The biggest thing that creeps me out. The Japanese made imitation beef from human shit. Then a few years later Ameircan food Scientists the same fucksticks that went to Marxists Universities and openly hate America. Started claiming they invented Lab Grown beef. They aren't fooling me, it's probably Poo Beef.
Crap-Beef would that be.

Creef or Shteak?

Love it or hate it, this type of innovation needs to happen. Growing meat in a vat should not only be vastly more economical than on the hoof, but it will make meat available to parts of the world where raising it doesn’t make sense. Also, and more importantly, it will be a way for astronauts of the future to establish a way of producing food in space or on asteroids or the moon. It’s a bit hard to raise a herd of longhorns in vacuum, but a vat of goo that makes delicious steak is possible!

What about the rest of the Cow? There was no problem until America developed all of the Cow Pastures with gated communities, like they did to Davie Florida.

If it's cheaper then the real thing, then people will switch to it and you won't be able to buy the real thing any more without going out of your way.

I like the succulent baby vats. Kept in a cage so it can't stand up and fed via IV to keep it tender.

Marmite is delicious.

But will Soymeat be loaded with Phytoestrogens? How about the good Omega vitamins?
