a bill now making its way to the desk of Gov. Gavin Newsom that would prohibit public and charter schools in California from expelling, or even suspending, students who disrupt the learning process or defy the authority of teachers, administrators and other school officials.
Why do you keep electing these people?
I am surprised this is making it past the powerful teacher's union lobby.
This is rank moronity:The goal of the bill — which is sponsored by Sen. Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, and the Alliance for Boys and Men of Color — is to protect kids from excessive discipline in schools. The alliance is counting on the assumption that reducing discipline will result in “an increase in positive outcomes for students and the communities in which they live.”
And I just love how this article blames it on the GOP.
California schools with some exceptions are now nothing more than an elaborate political patronage and welfare system. It only makes pretenses to teach, and I doubt the teachers in many areas are much smarter than the students. A lot of the schools are violent, chaotic baby sitting arenas spewing socialist agitprop, until the girls get old enough to get knocked up and collect their first welfare checks.
If you can't remove the disruptive elements from the learning situation, there will be no learning plain and simple. You can bet your bottom dollar that the LibbFuck Royalty send their kids to schools, usually private, where there is discipline and recognizance.
In celebrity schools teachers are afraid of students too
