The Montpelier Manifesto says: Lend your name and join the honorable task of rejecting the immoral, corrupt, decaying, dying, failing American Empire and seek its rapid and peaceful dissolution before it takes us all down with it.

Well, that about sums it up doesn't it?

And what behaviour of Roberto's is it that is supposedly only accepted on the West Coast? Nothing I've ever seen Roberto post is remotely as bad as the utterly reprehensible racist crap that I see posted in this forum on a regular basis.

Roberto is a product of east bay liberal establishment that managed to create lots of lefty zombies who walk around calling everyone racists..

Its all a distraction by the left to cover up their horrible failures over the decades as many other regions have done much better.

drive down 40 miles south into Santa Clara.. its much different here as many have benefited from a robust economy.

Indeed! Child labour and slavery should be reintroduced immediately.

if you wish, you should check around North Africa to middle east to West/East Asia and you will find
lots of Child Labour and Slavery.

we need not worry about what happened with child labor/slavery since no one is looking to have it here.. once again... idiotic liberals keep bringing up this as a distraction to cover up their dismal failure with managing the economy....

Really? The Republicans seem to have done a pretty good job at fucking over the US economy when they've been in power... and judging by what is going on right now, when they're also out of it.

if your so concerned about child welfare and stopping slavery.. go to North Africa or India.

your not going to find it here in the USA or Europe..

Duh. You're rather missing the point of the implications of what you said in your initial post. Paint me unsurprised. And it was a jokey comment by the way, but thanks for taking it so to heart. You might also give some consideration to the level of human trafficking and sexual slavery that does continue to exist in the Western world given that you think slavery only occurs elsewhere.

The economy was screwed over by irrational public inflating home prices with out any reason.
Its no different than the stock bubble we had in late 90s. All due to public irrational exhuberance.

The lliberal govt of Obama has done nothing to promote viable growth economy. All they can talk about is some fiction with now failed green economy and govt spending programs on roads and bridges.

No factories, no worker demand.. no job programs.. All we heard from Obama and Clinton,, is those jobs have left and are not returning.. a sharp meaning to everyone.. By the end of Obama's 8 years... we will be no better off all the while other nations are growing their work force.

(Steve Jobs said) "You're headed for a one-term presidency," he told Obama at the start of their meeting, insisting that the administration needed to be more business-friendly. As an example, Jobs described the ease with which companies can build factories in China compared to the United States, where "regulations and unnecessary costs" make it difficult for them.

Jobs also criticized America's education system, saying it was "crippled by union work rules," noted Isaacson. "Until the teachers' unions were broken, there was almost no hope for education reform." Jobs proposed allowing principals to hire and fire teachers based on merit, that schools stay open until 6 p.m. and that they be open 11 months a year.

If found in the west.. people involved are prosecuted... in North Africa/India and Middle East its all just part of life.. So Slavery is accepted and not made illegal... you have millions in bondage...
Your in Kuwait, so its no wonder even in Arab nations you have slavery.

Your not going to find this in the USA...

Who does not matter.. it was up to the individual person to be responsible be it Stock bubble during Clinton years or RE bubble during Bush years. The govt does not control prices regardless where interest rates go.

That should have been obvious looking back 1989 - 1993 as home price declined back to normal levels.

Jobs was a pig headed Liberals who had Business sense telling Obama what was going on.

Be it education or be it the anti-business climate promoted by the Liberals. Dems failed.

Since your not in the USA you have no idea !

What exactly is your point? People take terrible advantage of other human beings all around the world. You and I do it at a lower level when we pick up our cheap clothing from the mall.

And there have been cases of exploitation of domestic workers in the US as well. The US also has a massive problem with human trafficking.

And in which countries is slavery legal? Have you noticed some countries are less advanced than others and the legal framework less enforceable.

And what has any of that got to do with your claims about general working conditions and harking back to the 'good old days' presumably when employers were free to exploit workers as they saw fit.

I do know that Republicans have been in power in the US quite often in my life time. What were the enormous improvements that they brought to the education system?

And what is this anti-business climate that the Democrats have been fostering over the decades? Both your parties are pro-business. You simply have one party that tries to do a little more for the average Joe than the other.

Math, Science, Literature, Civics, Economics, Business .... what the did liberals usher during the 1960s ... destroying the education foundations in favor or idiotic studies wasting tax payer money and wasting students study time... end result was a tragic decline real hard skills.

What did the liberals bring to US Education.. Atheist terrorist and Marxist...

140   Bigsby   2013 Oct 12, 4:39pm

Don't the Republican and Democratic parties from several generations ago (and earlier) bear little resemblance to the current parties? What has your party done to improve education during your life time? Your party has been in power longer than the Democrats since the 70s. Time enough to make improvements to education you would have thought. And yet from what you say...

perhaps you have been ignoring US industrial power in the post WW2 era.

Are you going to deny the creation of industries and therefore raising a large
workforce, increasing incomes and wealth for the middle class.. what is your plan ?

The democrats have failed .. there is no plan to increase the workforce/jobs/careers/incomes ..

You only succeeded in promoting foreign powers to dominate our industries.
