They plan on releasing him periodically in the shanty towns with a proper armamentarium and recommendations for snail garnish.

Let's blame the government for not doing enough to keep the prices artificially inflated.

You have to have a demand for housing. As the article says, the demand is only from investors and not from real homeowners. And many of these are Wall Street firms who will be in and maybe out. It will be interesting to see if the bundling of rents into bonds, like mbs in the past, will drive investors to hoard even more.

Correct-in then out. What happens to these real estate investments when their yield is capped out and the stock market is still soaring because of QE? They'll dump their real estate.

WOW! The UNtrustworthy are certainly in control of what information is apparent to the people!

Say hey! This was in the Wall Street Journal on March 30, 1999. Note "... how much it will buy."

Holy cow/interesting/compelling ...!

And where is it up to date??? Right here ... see the first chart shown in this thread.
Recent Dow day is Monday, November 18, 2013 __ Level is 101.9

WOW! It is hideous that this is hidden! Is there any such "Homes, Inflation Adjusted"? Yes! This was in the New York Times on August 27, 2006:

And up to date (by me) is here:

That is certainly one scenario. But remember when the stocks tanked in the dot com bubble. Could we be looking at a shift to a real estate bubble from companies exiting the stock market?

When stocks tank the housing bubble crashes esp in SF.
BUT housing could tank and the stock market can keep going higher

I have a counterintuitive idea, that stocks will crash, easy money barriers will lift, and even more investors will pile into housing. I hope I am wrong.

mmmm interesting-that COULD happen if rates stay low

Any sexual act that is not procreation is a sin DUH!

Sex should be missionary, in the dark, with a Christian radio station playing softly in the background.

39564   rooemoore   2013 Nov 18, 1:46pm

Old farts enjoy Adele. Her voice and songs aren't too different from Dusty Springfields 40+ years ago. My 70 year old uncle loves her.

Also, this is a couple of years old. That's practically a generation in web time.

Finally, and perhaps of most interest to you, the first clip if played backwards at 1.7 times speed has an unmistakable message about 9/11.

Before you knew she was becoming famous but not before she was already famous.

39579   Tenpoundbass   2013 Nov 18, 11:07pm

Adel creeps me out, she reminds me of one those Cigar smoke smelling(from blunts as well as smoking cigars) pasty skin hoes you'd see in 7-11 at 2am buying a few bottles of Old English, wearing a pair of funky sweat pants with the words "Juicy" across the ass.

And that's not to say, her songs and voice are grating.

That being said, did she sing the theme song to "Sky Fall"?
I've never heard that song until I saw the movie the other night on Netflix.

By far the only song of hers I've heard to date that didn't send me out of the room. The rest of her shit sucks balls.

39582   Tenpoundbass   2013 Nov 19, 1:01am

Adele is no Etta James.

It's not so much her voice it's the production and the songs she sings. I'm just not a fan, her songs and I think she's fugly.

39583   Tenpoundbass   2013 Nov 19, 1:04am

If Amy Whinehouse didn't croak, we would have never heard of Adele. The Brits didn't want Suzan Boyle to be the face of British pop music.

39584   Tenpoundbass   2013 Nov 19, 1:21am

Well if you must know R&B is just another word for "CRAP".

R&B is to black music that modern country is to classic country.

Hank Williams SR. songs can reach across generations, borders and classes and stay relevant.
The same could be said for Motown, Soul, Blues, Funk ect... artists of yesterday. Fuck if hear another "Boys to punks" tired ass boy band and just one more fucking schmuck trying to tell me how great "R&B" is, I'm going to lose my mind up in here. Which is also considered "R&B" see what I mean. Any shit that can't stand on it's own merit as any redeemable music on it's own, and has half assed "Wiki-wiki-wiki" beat, or a few monotone monotonous singing boys, or even just as bad some chick that sounds just like that other fucking chick that drops a new song just like the last song every week.

That's why it was very fitting that Kanye West and Taylor Swift were on the same stage at an awards show. Because both genres deserve the "Golden Crap" award.

ugh. If these posts are what gets you through your day, good for you...

I guess you can't react to legit questions or possibilites w/ civility....

I guess you can't wrap your brain around the fact, that for some people, holding gold (or silver) is more than a 1 year endeavor, and may also be less than 10% of their total holdings....

I guess you'll never hear this over the din of the 5 voices in your head telling you how fuckin' awesome you are. HAAHAHAA....

39586   AverageBear   2013 Nov 19, 2:19am

Bigsby says

That's a rather strange argument, but you're very, very lucky that you know what is going to happen in the future.

Why? If you have the means and time to invest in something w/ less than 10% of your total holdings, why is this so strange? This is the point I'm trying to make. Yes, the 10-15 year time range that I referenced is a little unrealistic. I'm no gold bug. I see it as I see lots of other investments (outside of my main core of dividend growth stocks). I saw gold going up, got in (SNDXF/SAND), made my $$, then sold off to pour even more $$ into my dividend growth stocks. I have some SLW left, which is down 27%. Yes, it's dead $$ for now. I knew this going in. But I don't lash out when I'm asked to think differently (ala egads) like some psycho either.

he sold his california home 2 years ago to buy gold. Are you so fucking stupid that you think that makes it a small part of his portfolio?

How the fuck would you know?!!

As I'm sure you and he got intimate on all of this holdings, all of his net worth, and whatever sweet-nothings you shared. All's I'm saying psycho, is that you know NOTHING about him, other than he sold a house to buy gold. That's it. Pat 'yerself on the back chief, you win the cupie doll! You are AWESOME!
