It seemed to have helped out you quite a bit?
We have less than 350 millions people in US + Canada.
Imagine 5 billions in Africa.
What technology do you suggest will help?

IIRC there will be 450 million here. Nigeria will lead Africa with economic growth.
If you want to see the future look at the past and project forward.
Possibly nano/bio engineering to tolerances never heard of with 0 waste with next to no energy consumption. A startrek like food replicator. Fusion reaction for energy. Water desalinization for next to nothing. Longer life span. Space exploration for minerals.
Global cooling because the liberals pulled their heads out of their ass and realized that it is mostly controlled by solar flares.
I know the last part about liberals pulling their heads out of their ass is stretching it but one can hope...

Maybe a Matrix-like one?
Take the BLUE pill.

You're a "glass is half full" kind of guy: Countries with ultra dense and uncontrollable crowds of uneducated people fighting each other and destroying any attempt to build something. Out of control super bugs ravaging cities. Intelligent autonomous "kill on sight" drones sold by advanced countries to different factions in exchange for access to resources. Versus armies of children on drugs. Massive ecological destruction: fish on African coasts will run out and they will turn to eat every bush animal including elephants. African elephants and probably lions will go extinct outside zoos by 2100. All this is already happening in Africa at 1 billion. Imagine 4 billions. Other countries will fight wars over water - among the more reasonable reasons. The world economy will hit a wall due to lack of resources. Massive unemployment, nationalism will make a come back. A war with China is not impossible, including yellow mushrooms.
startrek like food replicator... shessh...

That is what you have a problem with? I woulda thunk it would have been the liberals getting their head out of their asses...
You can keep your Malthusian colored glasses on.
BTW what happened with Malthusian catastrophe and why did it not occur?
Take the BLUE pill.
Make mine red, thank you very much
Why? Don't you remember that juicy piece of steak in the movie?

Can't say I do?
Come on, the main conflict of the first Matrix movie was centered on a piece of steak.

That was 15 years ago, please explain the context

"Ebola, of course" -IMF

It is occurring. It's taking a few centuries but the guy was spot on.
The earth can't produce exponentially more resources. No matter the technology.

The red-pill-takers were betrayed over a piece of steak. Ignorance is bliss. Why chase after some "real" truth when the relative truth is better?
The steak scene was the most memorable in the entire Matrix franchise. Oh, and that chocolate cake scene too.
Hollywood is very good at food scenes. When they displayed the caviar in Titanic I was so emotional. I could almost taste it.

We can recycle for ever. As for food, technology can make more than we need.

Bullshit, you are a real Eeyore

Well That's Just GREAT! A global FOOD STAMPS program. Thanks Obama.
We can recycle for ever. As for food, technology can make more than we need.
Hope springs eternal.

And coastal California home prices will go up 6% a yr until 2100.
Not according to Hans.
Interesting talk - he's full of nonsense about the global warming crap and the electric car blather, but it was a good talk none the less. He's (obviously) simplified it enormously and there is no factoring of ebola, wars, ISIS and all the other junk that causes huge hiccups, but an interesting talk anyway. Good news for me, I'll be long dead and gone by the time 2100 comes around - and I look forward to it.

There is an 80 percent likelihood that the number of people on the planet, currently 7.2 billion, will increase to between 9.6 billion and 12.3 billion by 2100, the researchers said.
