Oh that's sad. Interstate Love Song and Plush were two of the best songs to come out of the 90's. The two Velvet Revolver albums are very good, and largely overlooked.
It's too bad Scott Wieland couldn't entirely overcome whatever demons plagued his mind. I mean maybe he did these past few years. But his drug use was so heavy over the years.
I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm goin' to try for the kingdom if I can
'Cause it makes me feel like I'm a man
When I put a spike into my vein
Then I tell you things aren't quite the same
When I'm rushing on my run
And I feel just like Jesus' son
And I guess I just don't know
And I guess that I just don't know
I have made very big decision
I'm goin' to try to nullify my life
'Cause when the blood begins to flow
When it shoots up the dropper's neck
When I'm closing in on death
You can't help me not you guys
All you sweet girls with all your sweet talk
You can all go take a walk
And I guess I just don't know
And I guess I just don't know
RIP

Absolutely!
And don't forget the 'Big Empty'.
Another rock star bug splat on the windshield of life. The ex-wife sounded like a good person, but one still has to wonder why she chose the way she did.
Listening to Ronald Shannon Jackson and the Decoding Society on vinyl. Now there's some abstract, mind blowing sheeat.

Gimme fucking songs about bombing Westphalia and savage face-melting guitars! These guys are still alive, shattering concrete in clubs and festivals and turning cities into rubble, exactly as the founding fathers intended.
There's no need to compare Blue Oyster Cult to anyone else out there. Anyone in *the know*, knows that BOC is the most eclectic, most talented, and possibly the greatest underground act of all time.
So let Scott have his moment in the sun.

BOC's "Astronomy", was the only cover from Metallica's 'Garage Days', where Metallica couldn't match the original in quality and intent.www.youtube.com/embed/n3ZfeG_2wRc
Sure, it was a valiant attempt but at best, M' put their standard hard rock signature on it, little else.
