I bet you the truck driver fell asleep. God was looking out for you. You get to live to tell the story.
God bless!
Whoa, glad to hear it went ok. I have seen many more good truck drivers than bad truck drivers, but they are definitely human and fallible, too.
I hate being anywhere near those big trucks, but, of course, it is unavoidable. Getting swiped by one is like a dinosaur swatting a gerbil. Maybe that's why they are careless about their wobbling, they won't be the ones to get hurt.
I Almost Died The Other Day
We are glad you are alive and kicking. You are one tough gal.
Glad you made it without any injury. I wonder if he dozed off?
Ultimately all Zionist globalists will meet an angry maker. It is just a matter of time.
Gary, I'm surprised you didn't think this was a hoax perpetrated by the gub'mint. I do believe that you haven't fallen off the deep end, you've jumped. I would wish you a happy landing but I truly don't give a shit about you.
You didn't hit the truck.
See how simple that is?
Yup. Pretty simple.
And I do believe the guy was dozing. My friend is a trucker; he gets paid by the mile. He made $1.00 per hour during a recent snowstorm in the Midwest, due to being sidelined for over a day at a truck stop. With the kind of pressure they are under, it's a wonder more accidents aren't happening.
elliemae.
Could you repeat the words you used as you saw your life flash before your eyes?
Fate just played a dirty trick on you. You are now forced to follow Patnet the rest of her days. lol

I'll bet it was "dadgumit"!
Yet still another reason to have driverless vehicles.
... so you can concentrate on praying instead of frantically trying to steer away from the danger.
Good job defensive driving!
Every minute's a gift.
Make the most of it!
Sorry to hear that. The roads are getting worse every year. I try to avoid them during rush hours.
Stay safe.

Perhaps you did die, and are living on in a parallel universe.

Everyone on Patnet lives in a parallel universe. Except for Gary.

Hell is a parallel universe to heaven. Most people will end up there, even if attempts are made to show them that Zionism is evil and that the gospel of Christ is the power of God.
So if Mother Theresa felt Israel belonged to the Jews, she would go to hell.
I commute to work on the interstate, have driven this road since I can remember. I've had a few near-misses, especially with road-raging assholes, But I do believe that I haven't been as close to death as this in a long, long time.
The other day, the driver of a huge-ass semi-truck with a high construction flatbed trailer either wasn't paying attention or was nodding off As the road curved to the right, the trucker kept going straight. I was driving beside his trailer and, as he drifted into my lane, I hit the brakes and pulled to the left as quickly as possible.
It's not like he couldn't have seen me coming. There was a long straightaway before the curve, I was doing the speed limit and the sun wasn't in his eyes. Short of a medical emergency, there is no excuse of his almost killing me. But I digress.
I ended up directly behind the truck's rear left tire (so close I could have kissed it) with my right tire on the roadbed (not the actual road), my left tire in the median taking out sagebrush. And the dude kept a-comin.... he was on top of me, I mean literally over me. He caught himself before he ran off the road himself (when his tires hit the warning bumps on the side of the road), and I'm sure he was surprised when he realized I was there.
I don't know how I survived. I try to be ever vigilant, but I've seen trucks run off the road at 75mph, run other cars oft the road, blow their tires... and I've seen truckers who are the road ragers.
Fuck.
