They certainly have it tough in India! I wouldn't want to live there. I grew up in Eastern Europe. Tough winters, hot humid summers. Occasionally hotter and colder. Nothing really change there since. Same stuff happening.

But I agree global warming is a big problem.

Two?

I had the same thought. The reality is that it is hard to classify deaths as due to the heat wave or other things. Obviously with 1e9 people, on the order of 1e7 people die each year or on the order of 30K die each day. A lot of these are older people who die of heart attack, stroke, etc. It's hard to directly tie heat to these things. This is one reason that it's hard to compare death classifications between countries. I've read that we are more likely to classify a death as due to heart disease than France. This can mislead people who are comparing heart disease between the countries. I would guess that this heat took out a lot more than 2 people, but we don't know how many.

As most Americans are so easily distracted by being over-worked, struggling to secure a livelihood by leveraging what they can to improve their education vocational skills to make up for the drying up of OJT, AND consumering too, the entire system got piggy. Not just the federal government which is widely bemoaned even by talk radio bullies, but LOCAL GOVERNMENT TOO, especially the money-making parts of it like the ENFORCEMENT gravy train, which includes of course PROSECUTION, JUDGEMENT, and INCARCERATION.

ALL OF THIS SHIT IS IN DIRE NEED OF CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT.

You are so full of shit, it does not even shock me anymore.
Your narrow view of America is that of someone who only knows a life of crime in the inner cities. There is more to America than the inner cities. Most Americans are middle class, suburban dwellers. Take the example of Irvine, Ca......a safe, upper middle class, well educated, professional population that seldom have problems with the law. I would consider myself as an upper class suburban dweller. My last crime was a fucking parking ticket almost 10 years ago. I don't live in Irvine, but why can't most people live in a middle class city, and just obey the law? It's not hard.
You go on and on about how America dealt you a bad hand, how horrible our system is, and how it's everyone else's fault for your situation. Stop whining.

You, you, you, you THINK you are so rich, your OPINION OF YOURSELF is that YOU are successful. heheheh.

I think i'm middle class. To you that might be really rich. he he he.

jazz music says

You baited me into talking about myself, and I saw that and sidestepped you, and then you attack me as if I ever did say one thing about my own life.

I have no intention of trying to bait you. It's your paranoia. The whole system is out to get you.

jazz music says

On second thought you should stay checked out because the reason why so many less people cannot live in decent homes any more is because there are too many people like you that want to get money for nothing, more and more all the time, jobs compensate less, jobs go offshore, jobs are short term, less stability, real estate goes out of reach, never ending wars that congress has no control over, oppression of countries with resources, bases and administrations that prefer to deal with other banks and oil companies.

There you go again. A hundred million people live in decent homes. Most of them worked for their living. I never ever took a single day of unemployment even though I was unemployed at times, because I took up temporary jobs before i got the right one. My first job as a teenager was 2 hours 45 minutes away one way, in the dead of cold winter. Not once did I whine, because whining is for losers.

jazz music says

Every fucking human need stands opposed by a monster class of investors that want more money for nothing and the only wages that are not trending to zero are those paid for betrayal of the electorate and working families all over the world.

The problem is that a limit needs to be set and shareholders don't like it. Should we continue to coddle them or regulate them?

I think we should stop blaming others for our misfortunes.

SHEIT. I NEVER EVEN MENTIONED THE STINKING ABUSE OF CIVIL FORFEITURE.

The dirty filthy justice system is like Trump. It is so outrageous, just as much as it possibly can be, that you can't begin to cover the abuse without taking up too much time so they keep on getting away scot free.

Nothing to say about that poor air force officer? Mr. shit covered FBI badge?

Because the banks are bearing down on your security, there's no safe harbor for savings any more, you are in dread of market regulation but that is the obvious solution to America's misery.

Limits will be set sooner or later. --they must

Why? Because you think other peoples success comes out of your pocket? In reality, it's their success that fills the stomach of the poor.

Wait, Obama didn't bomb Syria for a year, not just with cruise missiles?

Now, on the other side of the equation, I doubt chemical weapons were used by Syria. No point, not with Iran and Russia helping and ISIS on the retreat.

However, there is every incentive for Qatar-Saudi Arabia to conduct a false flag attack, because their Jihadis are desperate and against the wall.

Interestingly, this might kill the health Care baby Trump was trying to conceive with his Rand Paul romp on hole nineteen. His partner in Republican love is going to be disappointed.

82278   curious2   2017 Apr 6, 6:36pm

This is a disaster. How does the administration even know where the chemical weapons came from, so soon after the attack? Have they even analyzed the chemicals? Meanwhile, "700 children have been killed in U.S. coalition airstrikes in Iraq and Syria since August 2014." Blasting apart with bombs is about as bad as gas. It looks like President Trump has capitulated within his own administration, removing Flynn and Bannon and resuming the same war policy Hillary Clinton campaigned on.

This is a disaster. How does the administration even know where the chemical weapons came from, so soon after the attack?

Because we watched the planes hit their targets with chemical weapons. We have amazing capabilities. 1 airfield hit, the one that launched and received the planes.

That's a GREAT and measured response.

We didn't declare war. We aren't saying there are more attacks to come. We spanked them. We are saying to the world: you play with this stuff and you can expect to hear from us.

This is FAR FARRRRRRR from isolationist America First though. :) Prove me wrong again Trump. Go start working on South Sudan. ;)

The interesting things now, because this was so fast, are:

- Russia
- What air corridors in Syria become problematic for us in fight against IS
- Iran

We also have Rangers and other troops, 400+, on the ground near Raqqa helping Syrian forces to train up to take the city from IS. The region got a whole lot less friendly tonight.

So, right response, on a time table faster than I thought would be done.

Do both. Did Obama ever bomb any of Assad's facilities? I believe the vast majority of US bombing and ground force action in Syria has targeted ISIS until today.

I think it is smart to target Assad's military bases in response to the use of chemical weapons. We can't live in a world where the use of chemical weapons is tolerated. We can't let that genie out of the bottle and it deserves a special response.
