Why isn't the Turkish President being publicly denounced for this flagrant, illegal violation of American's rights? Only Senator McCain has spoken out.

New video surfaced on Thursday that shows President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey looking on as armed members of his security team violently charge a group of protesters outside the Turkish ambassador’s residence here.

Yeah, only American police can beat up protesters.

Actually, American police were right in there. On person was arrested for assaulting an American police officer. The video doesn't say if that person was a protester or a security guard, but either way it contradicts your assertion that our government did nothing to protect innocent Americans brutally attacked. If the assaulter was a protester, they weren't innocent. If the assaulter was a guard, then the police did take action against the guard.

Also, American cops can be heard giving orders to protesters to back away.

Finally, there is no reason to believe the Turkish president, however vile he may be, had anything to do with this fight or in any way acted in the fight.

The YouTube video in the original post has a post-vid link claiming that Erdogan ordered the attack. Posting that. I'm still watching it now, so I don't know if it is valid or not.

The Turkish suits should be arrested. They were clearly assaulting peacefully protesting old men.

Bullshit.

5   HEY YOU   2017 May 19, 4:25pm

Trump & Republicans can't protect Americans' Free Speech from Muslims.
American Patriots,
Protest Turkey at their embassy & anywhere they show up in America.
No Aid! Sanction everything Turkey!
Boycott all imported Turkey imports.
Deport these BLASPHEMERS!

Republican will not enforce our Constitution & Bill of Rights.

That was not my assertion. Obviously the cops were trying to help the protestors. What I mean is this action should be publicly denounced by the Trump administration, who had just met with the Turkish president hours before. Or maybe Trump should go to Turkey, bring his own goons and beat the crap out of Turkish citizens.

If you're going to attack someone with diplomatic immunity, you'd better fucking kill them and get away afterwards. Since they can legally kill you and walk due to diplomatic immunity, you best jet stand back if you're not that committed. Protesters were idiots!

8   Shaman   2017 May 19, 6:48pm

Erdogan is a flaming asshole btw! He's a grade A fucktard dictator who we shouldn't do business with at all, but diplomatic concerns take precedence over all I guess.

If the president of the United States were in another country, you can bet your ass he'd have snipers and other soldiers protecting him with highly lethal force. No protester would be allowed to get within 500 feet of him.

10   Ceffer   2017 May 19, 7:28pm

Hey, the Turks ass fucked and flogged Lawrence of Arabia, a few protesters are nothing.

I'm sure you are right. The most powerful man on the planet, the President of the USA is always a target. He must be protected.
However, Erdogan was in no danger. The protesters were peaceful. It's the the Turkish suits who should be shot. Ofcourse, if Erdogan was shot, I would be happy as a lottery winner.

Did they come close -was it a threat-could not see how it started?

Nope. No threat at all. The protesters were not close, nor did they have any weapons. It seemed like Erdogan was enjoying his guards beating up the peaceful protesters.

This link has a video that shows there were only about 15 or so people peacefully protesting.

Sure, because if it's on TV, it's true. They can't lie on TV. Everyone knows that.

Turkey’s capital banned “all acts of protest” after dark, including press events and group singing, deepening a crackdown on dissent triggered by last year’s coup attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The governor’s office in Ankara said on its website Friday that it was exercising powers granted under Turkey’s state of emergency to eliminate risks to “public order,” including events that create targets for terrorists by attracting large numbers of people. Shouting and chanting slogans are also proscribed after sunset.

The curbs on assembly are the widest yet since Turkey declared emergency rule after the failed putsch last July, suspending some constitutional rights. The new legal system, which allows for rule by decree and was originally instituted for three months, will continue to be extended until peace and tranquility are achieved, Erdogan said this week.

“This is happening in the context of an unprecedented clampdown on free speech that scoops up both people who are known and have a high profile on social media, like journalists, as well as unknown people," said Emma Sinclair-Webb, the country chief for Human Rights Watch.

Yes, it's shocking that nothing is being done. Apparently this is not the first time Erdogan has done this in a foreign country. The below link shows his guards' attacks in Ecuador 2016 and NYC in 2011 at UN and 2016 at Brookings.

So you want to know why a ruthless dictator, who recently staged his own coup in order to flush out and exterminate opposition, is ordering thugs to beat the shit out of anyone he doesn't like?

Maybe you should be asking why American government is inviting and entertaining ruthless dictators in the first place?

Thought that was self-evident question. But maybe not, so thank you for asking.
