Believing ignorance is bad and science is good makes one a "smug little SJW."

The left is perhaps more guilty of suppressing science on a wide scale, in the name of "social justice".

For example, races exist and are easily distinguished even by cheap tests like 23andme.com. (Not to mention that they are trivially distinguished by your own eyes.) And the races differ considerably in their behaviors and abilities on average. These are well-documented scientific facts which directly contradict SJW teaching.

Or the fact that men have greater variability in almost all characteristics than women do, leading to a preponderance of men at the highest (and lowest) levels of IQ. This fact was so hated by leftists that they had it erased from scientific journals with cooperation from SJW editors. And yet it remains scientifically true.

And on and on. Anything that contradicts what it taught in grievance studies classes will be ruthlessly suppressed, no matter how much hard scientific evidence backs it up.

If we accept that, on average for certain characterisitcs , people of one race differ from others in another race, my belief is that we never the less deal with people on an individual basis.

My question is, what kind of person get triggered by other people who want to treat people of different races as if they are the same, when as individuals, comparing one person to the next, they basically are ?

Who benefits and how do they benefit when it becomes no longer a questioned fact, as to which attributes are on average immutably different between races ?

But why is this "lie" so completely off the radar of people like me (and no, I don't teach it), and yet so important to you and other Trump voters. I HONESTLY can not begin to fathom it.

I would agree that sometimes you're right. In others, not so sure. I have no need to come down on one extreme or the other on this question. SO I take a libertarian view on it. Besides, it may be in the interest of leveling the population growth.

Possibly a disadvantage of having the dispossessed and oppressed under your tent, but it's not nearly the whole tent. LEt's see who the dems come up with next time. I have no idea how it goes. But I would even take a somewhat left winger over Trump.

Democrats have to appeal to minorities in the same way that republicans have to appeal to white racists.

I don't really want to fight at all. But I also don't want people having power to enforce lies on the rest of us to salve their own feelings, or because it pleases the sponsors of NPR.

I don't care what gays want to do to each other. It's their right to fuck up their lives. I just don't want them teaching it to children.

I think you're confused. Corporations have liberal policies that operate 'as if' this were true.

I think you would find very few (only extreme feminists) arguing that it is literally true in an absolute sense .

James Damore was fired for Google for attempting to make exactly that point: the difference in distribution of men and women in engineering is not entirely due to sexism.

So that's one huge corporation pretending that it is literally true that sexism accounts for all of the difference in numbers between male and female engineers.

And it's an excellent example of how telling the truth will get you fired.

Lies often have a purpose behind them. I find the acceptance of Trumps lies much more frightening.

I understand lies that are intended to increase the numbers of female engineers. Even if it probably won't be all that effective. Who knows, perhaps having more women engineers ultimately improves aspects of the way engineers communicate with each other,or other aspects of the group, in ways that more than offsets any negatives.

There are good woman engineers of course, but women provably, scientifically have less interest and aptitude for engineering on average. And communicate better than men do, on average.

Even chimpanzee children have starkly different interests. Male chimpanzee kids choose to play with trucks, female chimpanzee kids choose to play with dolls. No one taught them that.
