Watched it. He’s probably right. The only question is how far down do we collapse?
Also, will some technological breakthrough save us, restoring our hope? Or will successive technologies just hasten our downfall? The first option is pretty unlikely, while the second is occurring as we speak.
Cultural prophets have emerged, the Isaiahs, Jeremiahs, and Nehemiahs warning us to repent, to turn around, to build the wall.
But they are being actively ignored, opposed by all “right thinking people,” censored, shut down, and attacked daily for daring to speak truth to the glassy-eyed masses.

What threatens us immediately is not a collapse as in: we go back to the farm and kill each other for food.
What threatens is the lack of scientific progress, a rising idiocracy, the rise of idiotic narratives governing millions, the spread of various religious dogmas. Stagnation. Degenerescence.
Only then will we be in danger of collapse.
Elon Musk is right: we need to shoot for Mars, or at least space colonization.
Not only as backup, but as purpose.

That is a natural result of centralization. If central gov't would be very weak, like in Switzerland, PTB's would have very hard time buying off all States. But WE need to enforce OUR will on everyone, hence centralization which leads to current clusterfuck.
What we have here is a country who has decided that it would be better off catering to only the wealthy instead of all this egalitarian bullcrap that out forefathers used to prattle on about.
