50% of the US voted for Trump in 2016 and more than 50% are telling you here that they support him. The reason you question the election is because of the full-blown leftoid propaganda giving you fake polls and the silent majority opting not to speak out publicly and having to deal with crazed out TDS and instead just voting for Trump. If you actually invited people to speak their mind freely without repercussion and slander you'd be surprised how large the support for Trump is.

Maybe you are right.

But then again there are countries with dictatorships that still hold fake elections. These countries treat journalists that don't go along as enemies of the state. I believe that something very close to what you are saying, is what people that question the reality are told in those countries, by people that either believe the equivalent of state news (Fox), or by people afraid to go against the grain. This has happened before, and happens in some countries now.

I seem to recall Labor Secretary Robert Reich being fired by Clinton for too much Socialism, even though they were roommates.

I try to acknowledge the good and the bad in people, and see the net pro/con of them. Everyone has bad qualities and does bad things, but I'd wager 99.99999% of people on this planet will put up with certain amounts of negatives if the positives outweigh the negatives in someone.

Trump's constant lies are my main negative about him. Of course, I have my own list of other negatives and positives about him. I think Trump's positives and negatives are very extreme - very bad things and very good things.

Anyway, with that said, I find this video humorous. It's so typical of the left - how they think they can decide what acceptable speech is, and that the populace needs them to "filter" the speech of others, because, well, I bet they feel "they know what's best for us", and that "we can trust them" - despite how often they play their own games which distort the truth, or outright spread lies themselves.

The video says:

"His lies aren't subject to the filters traditionally applied to presidential statements"
...
"... this means his lies go out to millions of Americans unfiltered"

"His Tweets, also brimming with lies, go out to 50 million Americans per day"

He then goes on to suggest ways to coerce Trump's media channels into banning him.

I don't have any issue w/ people wanting to make Trump more truthful, but I take great issue w/ how it's accomplished. Media companies should NEVER act as a "filter". They should report the facts, and optionally offer commentary and opinions. IMO it's imperative that reporting is done in a way that does not distort the truth, but most media fails this aspect horribly.

The fact that Twitter is a tool that gives ANYONE a voice, allowing them to bypass scumbag media corps, is a wonderful innovation for society and freedom.

This desire to "filter" speech is far more dangerous than Trump.

Trump lies a lot, which is is terrible. But, this video made me lol because he's not the only big liar.

These "10 steps" they mention in the video do actually play out, so at first glance, the explanation given in the video appears solid. But, upon further thought, I think in many cases it's not playing out because Trump told a lie and is convincing people of his lie - it's actually playing out because the media or someone is attacking him, and Trump - as we all know - fights back, and wins.

The reason why the popular label used by main stream media to describe some of his statements gradually evolves from "lie" to "disputed fact" to "controversy" etc.... is because as discussion, debate, and facts are added, it become more and more difficult for anyone to keep calling it a lie. The attack on him fails, and as the failure plays out, people need to water down their rhetoric to stay in line w/ the "popular opinion of reality". Continuing to call it a lie when there's solid evidence to the contrary just isn't something they will do.

The reason why the public becomes "confused and disoriented" is because they trust and believe their favorite liberal news stations, and enter a state of cognitive dissonance when they start to realize that it was actually the news, or some other person/group which opposes Trump, who lied, or was wrong. The think to themselves "how can this be? I thought orange man bad? what is this talk of facts that implicates his political opponents? what is this talk of facts that implicates liberal media dishonesty? error. error. cannot compute..^$%^$%^"

The Mueller report was a terrific example of this phenomenon playing out. Trump started out a "liar" because "Russian collusion was just so so factual" according to the left, and now, the whole issue is "partisan divide" because the the media can't deny the report, and so they now try to grasp for straws and point to how some people dont care about the findings in the report, they still hold their "opinion" that Trump did, regardless what the report says. Those "opinions" happen to align w/ dem vs repub, aka "partisan divide".

lol.

Anyway....I respect this guy's opposition to Trump. I'm glad we have so many people who challenge Trump, because I think Trump is the type of person who could morph into an authoritarian dictator if he was unchecked. It makes me feel good about our checks and balances to see them working, and I feel like were getting a good balance positive things from Trump, while limiting the negatives.

But, I do have to say it....these are the eyes of a weary man whose been losing a battle lol:

102949   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 May 27, 4:13pm

Robert Reich, fired by Bill Clinton for being too socialist, despite having been his college roommate.
102950   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 May 27, 4:15pm

I see we're back to the "Trump didn't keep his promises" narrative.

I'm starting to miss the "Absolutely guilty of Russian Collusion and Corruption" narrative.

The whole "Listen to the Intel Guys, we need the unredacted reports" has become "Don't reveal the raw data of the Intel Guys colluding against Trump. Keep secret these other reports!"

Probably in a week or so it'll be back to "Too much of Mean Tweeter to be a legit President"

Wow. Thank god for Fox news right ?

If anything TRump has increased the polarization in the country by a factor of 10, which increases the likelihood of what you supposedly fear.

AS we lose the common sense political middle, the end of the republic as we know it becomes more possible.

Thing is, the picture is symbolic of truth.

Pelosi has said Congress won't consider any Free Trade Deal with the UK until the EU says they're happy.
I have yet to hear one remark from Ilhan Omar or Rashida Taliban valuing the USA. Nothing but Far Left and Islamofascist criticism, the latter wrapped herself in the Paleban flag.
All of them have reacted to any and all immigration controls, particularly from Mexico and the Middle East, with hostility and hyperbole.

So are these things I need to look in to to so that I can understand that democrats are symbolically trampling on the flag and embracing a different flag ?

Seriously Accost-yah?? After accosting the female White house aide after yapping for minutes and not shutting up when politely asked he should have been punched in the face and barred for life. That's pathetic weak sauce by this self-absorbed dimwit. My first executive order as prez would be to bar Accost-yah from a large enough perimeter around the White House. It's not a war on the press, it's a war on Accost-yah. And rightfully so.

Actually under OBama, there was foodstamps and very little "welfare" as you imagine it. Although plenty of future Trump voters on SS disability, and or opiods. AS for borders, border security and deportations went way up in the Obama years.

So what the fuck are you talking about ?

This is why Trump won, and will win in 2020, democrats are solely focused on race at the expense of logic and reasoning.

Most Trump supporters would feel the same way about illegal immigration and illegal aliens if they were streaming over from Canada, enrolling in schools, getting free health care and housing subsidies, while paying a fraction of the taxes real citizens actually pay, while levying a total burden of $116 billion US dollars (paid for by actual citizens) while waving the Canadian flag around and calling everyone in the US racists/facists.

It's not about race.

let's repeat.

It's not about race.

It's always been about $$$. That's why Trump is predicted to win 2020 in all the various election models released so far. He's been good on the $$$, while democrats still think the "race card" is their golden ticket. It's not. Not anymore.

and even more annoying that people are led to think they are doing well when they are not.

I'm doing well and I'm not in the 1%. I don't let people lead me either, I think on my own. Outside of self inflicted issues (alcoholism, drugs, divorce, etc) I don't know anyone doing worse if you compare to where they were 5 years ago. Not one. Between my wife and I we're talking close to 100 people that we know pretty darn well (see at least on a monthly basis).

As I've brought up in the past, I don't actually care for you to disclose where you live, but you may seriously want to think about moving out of that area.

Hitting on some of the points in the video. If you can't scrape together $400 cash (4 in 10 supposedly) that's on you. There's ZERO reason in the USA that someone can't save $400. I'm guessing 100% of those people are part of the 17% that won't pay a bill that they likely knew was coming and most certainly used the money on something stupid. Stopped actively listening at the 2:25 mark roughly. So I gave the video a chance for the most part.

Your beef is with people not saving and not being responsible. You can also say the bottom 10% being lazy and not wanting to work distorts the data as well. You can't have one without the other. YouTube is a dangerous place and that guy proves it very well. Holding a piece of paper and saying the "federal reserve" without any link citation means dick. Be careful what you believe regardless of your "team" affiliation.

But you stupid fucks can't argue the massive pollution of the only place you have to live.

Who has argued for polluting more or even continued pollution at current levels on this site? The fact remains that it's not about pollution. Humans can't NOT pollute and sustain current lifestyles and populations at ever increasing numbers. Need less humans. There's the real hockey stick if you look at the charts. We need less people and that's the ONLY solution IF global warming is caused by carbon or any other pollutant.

As we decrease emissions, we keep increasing people that keeps the NET amount of pollution the same. It's a losing battle without killing off probably a billion or so people. So unless you have a good plan to kill billions of people, you're wasting your breath/keystrokes. Enjoy the day and understand that some future generation will die a miserable death and there was nothing realistic that could have been done about it.

People gotta stop making themselves miserable over something that cannot be controlled without you losing 50% of your friends to forced death to suppress overall emissions. Either way, it's awful if your dogma is global warming/climate change. You can't stop it. Enjoy life and get the tree trunk out of your rectum.

From the article: "competitors’ cars have many advantages – including better service networks, luxurious interiors, and the “newness” factor. The Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, and Jaguar I-PACE represent the biggest threats, followed by highly anticipated offerings from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and others."

That's been my thinking, too, but Tesla is still doing well in mind-share and market-share and competitors still haven't put out a blockbuster true luxury electric. The BMW i3 thing, for example, is farther from "luxury" than any of the Teslas.

I also think that Tesla corporation is highly leveraged through and through. Honoring warrantees, taking back lease returns, and the extreme financial leverage on a money-losing (so far) enterprise is a recipe for a gigantic, fast-paced financial meltdown.
