Nice fantasy
This great economy is a nearly linear continuation with what happened the previous 5 years, that were paying over one trillion deficits per year for.
It's not worth it. Sometimes spending less, having a recession, clearing out the excess would be better for the economy.

Sadly the multiplier effect is not what it used to be, it's not worth the effect hey get, but it's still substantial. Any idiot is going to look good in that office with deficits that large (as long as the media is pretending it doesn't matter - which they won't do when a democrat is in office).

What amazes me is that there are people that think tarrifs will undo that. IT's been understood for many decades that the best that will do is cause inflation, where our pay goes up almost as much as the cost of living. I guess that's good for highly leveraged investors. But everyone else will be hosed royally.
Please point me to some reading you can find explaining the causal relationship between tariffs and becoming a super power.
Nearly everyone understands that cheaper labor in a global economy is the reason that unskilled labor is not paid well in this country relative to our cost of living.
