I think all of the services above (real education not the indoctrination systems public schools have become today) fall under the constitutions' preamble:
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

It's the socialist control and want of confiscatory powers so that they can attempt to "equalize" society that right thinking citizens fear. It has nothing to do with roads, public services and protections.
The democrats goals are beyond socialist crazy, they want to steal from the rich, regulate your first and second rights, and lower the standard of living for everyone but the ruling class, just like real socialists.
