It sure looks like this sham impeachment is a gift to Trump.

You are very likely right here. Whatever happens there will not matter for 20% hard-core fans and 20% hard-core opponents of tRUMP; however, for people who are unsure, this sham will likely push them into pro-Trump camp by showing that his opponents are worse.

How did we ever end up with such a high functioning addict as our president? Do you think he will make it through his second term?

He's survived for too long time to be a real addict, so the whole story is as a minimum exaggeration, and as a maximum a total lie. We can not exclude that he either has done adderall/some other drug a while ago, or is/was occasionally using them, but if he would be a regular user, he would have croaked by this age, especially given his diet of hamburgers and sodas and overall too FAT body complexion.

Absolutely true, it messes with signalling in the body (sweetness signals that body needs to adsorb sugars but they are not there) and is probably worse than regular coke.

I'm sure this will be as revealing as Maddow's "expose" of Trump's 2005 Tax Return.

From the Babylon Bee (note to the humor impaired, this is a satire site):
Slain Trump Balloon Rises Again Three Days Later
TUSCALOOSA, AL—The famous big baby Trump balloon was stabbed to death in Tuscaloosa over the weekend. Followers mourned its death. But when some women came to pay their respects to the downed balloon three days later, they were shocked to find the balloon was rising again.

Girls as young as 15 years old were lured to the parties with the promise that they’d meet well-connected men who might help them enter the modeling industry.

“There were always dramas because the men threw money and drugs at them to keep them enticed,” said one former guest, a fashion photographer. “It’s based on power and dominating girls who can’t push back and can be discarded. There’s always someone to pick them back up. Nobody wants to call home and say ‘Help me.’”

The photographer, who asked to remain anonymous over possible lawsuit concerns, recalled that Trump would go from room to room, checking out his guests as they partied with girls and young women.

It's not a 110% verified transcript that includes the original Ukrainian in Cyrillic and verified by a Board Certified Member of the Lazlo Foundation of Ukrainian Speakers!

It was only considered good enough to serve as the WH record for future reference.

Right wing media says that.

Other media says totally different.

It seems the answer to that is DRASTICALLY partisan.

Did you watch the entire thing? If not, your comments are worthless. Not sure why I did it, but watched the entire thing live. If you watched that thinking impeachment was imminent, there are facilities available. It was an unmitigated disaster. Los Angels Times said the same. Clearly the average American, let alone Patnet user watched the bull shit highlights from their respective "sources." Take the time and watch the whole thing.

The democrat's house was on fire and they called an arsonist to put the fire out, lol!

The returns will be fertile ground for "misinterpretations" by the fake-news media. I really don't blame Trump; there's nothing at all beneficial to him to be gained. And, when you declare 8-figure and 9-figure write-offs every year, it's not like the IRS just tosses the return into the dustbin. I'm sure that his returns are scrutinized rigorously by both Trump's accountants and the IRS.

Even if there are mistakes in the return, Trump is likely to be able to legitimately claim he had no idea and was not really responsible.

The exact same people who claim that Trump's 4 bankrupt entities are somehow a black mark against his skill or character or something will be fake-fainting over each write-off. Business real-estate is full of esoteric loopholes that can certainly be put in a bad light, even if Trump is just playing by the rules.

The Court might rule Congress needs to pass a law saying the President has to. It will then be argued if the President has to, then Congress has to.

For sure under oath ask him, because otherwise he just a liar doing what he does every day, telling lies. Why not let people with first hand knowledge testify? I think you all know why. Do you honestly believe he didn't withhold aid to get the Ukranians to investigate Biden? It's a pretty simple question and it's exactly what Trump would do, right?

70% of us see him as the reality show clown who beat that bitter old drama queen. The system is rotten to the core. Trump is as likely an actor as a producer or director. The political theatre goes on.

Totally agree, but it's not that Trump is worried that they will show he is a not charitable or that he pays little in taxes because he manipulates the system. He fears and knows what they will show, that is he isnt nearly as rich or as great a businessman he has portrayed himself. His whole identity will be shown to be a fiction and a sham.

The only thing I can see you being correct on is his actual income shown on taxes being "low." As a tax payer, who the fuck cares? He's donating his annual Presidential salary and not stuffing it in his pockets like 99% do in Congress and SCOTUS. I don't know, call me a dip shit, but someone turning down (donating) $1.6M over 4 years or so must be pretty poor, right? Hopefully he's donating it to a reputable charity, but that's another topic. Either way, it's almost for sure you won't donate $1.6M to charity in your entire life, so I guess hate the guy for that???

You also understand the taxes are going to shed light on absolutely nothing? He'd be in jail if he evaded tax law. Outside of that, you're going to understand very little about his wealth and income. The perks of getting large sums of money via large loans, is you get to use that money for business purposes in furtherance of the project it was loaned for. Hell you don't even have to do that depending on the loan agreement. Mind you this is ALL tax free money. You could do the same tomorrow and you would if you have the business sense. Instead people just complain that he's the pussy grabber in chief and are jealous of someone with more money. It's the American way in 2019 I guess.

I'm still flabbergasted anyone still gives a flip about the tax returns. It's kind of moronic. With all these leaks, don't you think there would be some "whistleblower" in the IRS that could take a peek at his taxes? If there was something there, it would have already happened and been leaked.

Note also that Trump is donating his salary to various government agencies, not charities, so likely not tax deductible. In fact, it is like he is volunteering his whole Presidential paycheck as a tax. Someone like the Clinton's, who "donated " to their own charity, really just paid themselves and took a tax deduction. That, along with all the people donating used clothing and other trash to Goodwill type charities for an overvalued deduction, is the reason charitable deductions should not be allowed.
