Did you even read your own linked article? 90 seconds was excessive time when the the NY Legislature passed a law specifically to go after Manafort after the fact, a law that defense attorneys in general as well as ACLU types strongly opposed. The article even points out that prosecutor Vance has a history of pay-to-play justice, and was going hard after Manafort to revamp his image.
