If you have kids all you get is shit eye from all the oldies. Especially in the retirement areas. We went to Tampa during off season for tourism. The fuck? Went to breakfast and if your iris' had laser pointers attached we'd have dozens on us. Could have been the wife for the men, but I think they were pissed that we were there with kids. My kids are top notch well behaved too. It was weird.

That’s quirky. My workplace is over 25 now, most of which I don’t now know, even as far as working with them goes. But no ones hospitalized and I don’t think anyone’s going to die.

Did it ever occur to you that if people are going to the hospital with Corona Virus, even if by ambulance, they are usually at a stage that doesn't require a siren ?

If an ambulance is dispatched from the fire dept or whatever, and the paramedics decide (at the home - after using siren to get to the home) that it isn't the level of emergency that requires lights and sirens going to the hospital, then you're not going to hear ambulances with sirens just becasue you live near the hospital. I don't know, but I'm assuming people go to the hospital as soon as breathing starts to get difficult, or shortly thereafter, especially since people are somewhat well informed about this.

In fairness, your typical doctor has almost no critical thinking skills and is hardly ever even at a hospital, so they wouldn't be likely to have an opinion anyway if this corona virus scare is exaggerated bs. Jesus. I was talking work people as well. 25? Maybe IL is behind the "curve" or whatever. It's very dead here (not people, just not much going on). St. Patrick's day was the biggie here and we're 14+ days removed at this point. Lockdown basically started here 15 days ago.

My wife has gone running almost daily by herself. Limited, to no interaction with another human. I've left the house 2-3 times. Hand sanitizer in the car and used every time. I think this is more contagious as what is being put out there, but I still think someone has to sneeze or cough around you in the moment. Or you are rubbing your face after touching a contaminated surface.

I generally never took individual vitamins or supplements. Just general stuff. Started taking vitamin D supplements about a year ago. Haven't been sick since... knock on wood. I don't know, I'm pretty convinced it's helping.

I went to a Diner in South Florida and got the stink eye, too. At Lunchtime. Even though the place was 120dB from the multiple TVs and loud talking always. My kid simply drew with crayons at the table the whole meal. Staff was nice, but Old Pensioners, not at all, even though they were all shouting at each other across the table. "HEY MARGE, HOW IS THE RICE? WHAT?! THE RICE, HOW IS IT? NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY!"

My favorite is old people shopping. They lollygag for an hour to buy one or two things. But if they don't get checked out in less than 5 minutes, whinge moan bitch. They also love to go to the bank and lunch right when everybody with a job is on their lunch hour, though they have all day to BS.

I'm old enough to remember the Greatest Generation, total opposite. A handful of grouches, but most were polite and liked kids and teens (ie me).

Ambulances don't need sirens when there are so few cars on the road. I've seen ambulances with lights on / siren off in the last week.

The number of cases is inconsequential for the most part. What "flattens" the curve is those that are susceptible to dying from this die from it. A vaccine best case with short development time is going to be at best 20-30% effective. This isn't going away anytime soon.

We haven't had a legit pandemic in a while. We were due. This is what I mean by fear mongering. There's nothing we can do long term. This is going to kill people that are weak. It sucks. I still don't understand the reaction is my point. I'm not disputing case numbers or deaths really. The numbers will go where they will. It started two weeks ago the Sunday after lockdown.
First a sore throat. Then my lungs started to feel congested. I dosed on the C, one gram twice daily. I drank more water than normal. I got this horrible pounding headache and achy body. I took ibuprofen. Not the worst cold of my life.But I'm a boomer and we been through worse.

Please nobody take Ibuprofen in the next three months, if you have covid19 but don't have symptoms but a headache. The Ibuprofen will turn it into Lung AIDS.
