In 2018, Disney reworked another popular attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean,at Walt Disney World and Disneyland to remove a scene in which the ride’s pirates were shown auctioning women to be brides. In the new version of the ride, one of the red-headed women is now one of the pirates.

(this is a quote from a marketwatch article about how Disneyland had to modify their "racist" ride, "Song of the South" "because" it supposedly showed ante-bellum plantation-life as pleasant and desirable)

See, YES, it is sexist, though possibly historically accurate, to show women being auctioned as brides, but, see, it is ALSO HIGHLY IDEOLOGICALLY BIASED that the feminist ideology "requires" women to be presented as robust combative pirates (generally, women pirates were paramours of male pirate officers or captains, and were usually treated leniently when captured, whereas the male pirates were more usually hung)

So, question, how is it an improvement to be enslaved mentally under ONE IDEOLOGY as opposed to ANOTHER IDEOLOGY?

This is known as "not being able to get outside the box", not about moving from a more "reactionary" ideology to a more "progressive" ideology (this concept itself is kinda an "ideology of ideologies" -- specifically, it seems to be some sort of "teleological 'progressive' historicism", which I take to mean the idea that history, as a cohesive process, NECESSARILY must come thru a series of stages deemed progressive to some sort of utopian end or some 'unfolding' -- Marxism can be understood as an ideology of this sort, but so can palingenetic ideologies like that espoused by Trump -- in fact, this sort of ideology is quite common, generically, in much Western intellectual history)

Isn't the idea in education and becoming enlightened to escape being enslaved by ideologies and be able to think critically?? To get outside uncritical submission to ideological discourses?
