If you're serious about self-defense, get a revolver. Glocks are unreliable.
Why couldn't YOU run to your second floor bedroom and lock the door?
most reliable handgun on the planet.
Good news! Gun shop called to say they have one Glock19 in stock that they are holding for me. Appointment made, woot!
I'm looking at purchasing a cabinet full of AR-15s.

Buy some Magpul D60 magaznines. You can stuff 60 rounds in each and store them long term without weakening the springs. These are also the ONLY AR-15 drum magazines that I have found to work reliably. Stay away from Pmag and Beta C.

I don't like mags over 20rd - they interfere when shooting from the prone position.

Any updates on this?
Are there any delays with the background checks?
In CA you 'get a small dog'. Then you register it as an emotional support animal.
Do ya really need more than one with a couple of large banana clips taped together? Or are you starting a small militia?
BayArea saysYes, appointment tomorrow. Glad to report back then.
Anything to report?
Patrick saysYes, guns are good for telling liberals that you will not be beaten up for speaking the truth.
A couple of shots into the air should do it.
@Patrick
Never pull out that gun unless you need to use it to prevent bodily injury or death to you.
By shooting in the air, you are putting your life at risk because you don’t know who is in the crowd and what firearm(s) they have on them.
If you fire your weapon, the next sequence can get very unpredictable.
If anyone ever tells you it’s easy to get a gun in CA, challenge them. So far it’s been a mega hassle. But that’s ok, I’m in no rush and in the end will have a legally purchased firearm. The left's ever-increasing hassles put on purchasing guns is causing some people to buy guns because they know if they ever need one in the future, they won't be able to get one in time.
California law requires individuals to report the loss or theft of a firearm to local law enforcement in the jurisdiction where the loss or theft occurred within five days of the time they discovered or reasonably should have discovered the loss or theft.
"I lost it in a fishing accident" won't cut it; off to the gulag!
Are air rifles legal and unregulated?
You can get 50 cal air rifles (made in USA) and I would think that you could shoot them in your back yard.
There is ordinance against shooting air rifles within residential areas in some cities/counties. It's not a problem with small caliber air rifles because they tend to be fairly quiet (I shoot one in my backyard all the time and my neighbour does too), but 9mm or 50 cal would have a fairly substantial bark methinks.
Yes, I was told to expect the background check to take 2x as long as usual... so expecting 20days or so.
Yesterday - didn't save the link - the media called the driver a "gunman" and the rioter "armed with a rifle" even though that rifle was an AR-15 that the media almost always insists in an "Assault Rifle"

So what was your appointment for? Just to fill out the paperwork for the background check?
My store told me they can't start the check until they have the gun in inventory so they can match up serial numbers.
Did you get to see or handle your gun? Did they have you take the Firearms Safety Certificate test?
bubba'd up SKS. Assault Rifle!
What air rifle should I get to shoot crap in my backyard without alarming the neighbors?

Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.
I’m looking to purchase a Glock19. Nobody, I mean nobody has this in stock in the Bay Area!
With Covid19 and the protests across the country, I’m being told that much of the Glock inventory that was present in gun stores across the Bay is sold out and it’s unlikely that more will be available for 4months+
Does anyone know where I can buy a Glock19 (legally) from a Bay Area gun store today? Anyone have stock?
Thanks
