Hunter Biden's whacky deals with Russian Oligarchs, Chinese Communist Officials, and Ukrainian Corrupt Officials = "Going after Biden's Family" nevermind it involves the actions of a 30-40 year old Hunter Biden while his father was in charge of these foreign portfolios under Obama.

Wallace is trying to save Joe by changing the subject whenever Joe starts to punt. But thank god, Trump interrupts to keep it going.
57   Patrick   2020 Sep 29, 7:21pm

You can't expect fair moderation from the media. But to be honest, I thought it would be worse.
58   ignoreme   2020 Sep 29, 7:22pm

Next question after grilling trump on global warming. Biden would you like to do a commercial for your energy plan.
59   mell   2020 Sep 29, 7:23pm

Trump is debating CW and sleepy Joe but that was expected.
60   richwicks   2020 Sep 29, 7:23pm

This debate is boring. No actual issues brought up.
61   Patrick   2020 Sep 29, 7:24pm

I think it's useful for people who would not watch Trump normally to get to see him.
62   Patrick   2020 Sep 29, 7:29pm

I think the important thing is that Trump stood up against 'racial sensitivity' training.

My bet is that the large majority of people are sick of shit like that. They just want to be Americans.

Doesn't help for them to see him in the Narrative of their bullshit gaslighting, like 'racial sensitivity' training.

True but it may help to see the bias. He has to debate both
64   mell   2020 Sep 29, 7:46pm

Media immediately naming Biden the winner but stock futures shot up. Hmmmm
65   GreaterNYCDude   2020 Sep 29, 7:46pm

Here's my instant anaylisis.

1) Biden did better than I had expected. He looked straight on at the camera and addressed the American people several times. He also did a better job trying to stick to the issues raised.

2) Trump was Trump. No surprise. He did well and kept his composure for the most part.

3) Them talking over each other didn't bother me all that much.

4) I thought Chris Wallace was going to lopse his cool and tell them both to shut the F up at one point.

(All I could think of was... If you two kids can't behave I'm turning this car around.)

5) I hope like heck we have a winner.... this could get ugly. Many states are in a statistical tie as of this morning.

Next one should be just as fun.

Right! Now why won't Trump tell them to look at the WHOLE transcript so they can see that the "very fine people" hoax is in fact a hoax?

What's truly wild about the transcript is what's in between the "very fine people" and "i'm not talking about" sections. It makes Trump look like Nostradamus after the events of this summer.

20 legacy news outlet declare Biden the decisive winner of the debate!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA Splurt, Fart, Gasp!

Yeah, right.
68   RC2006   2020 Sep 29, 7:57pm

We knew who the media would say the winner would be from the get go.

It was a pretty fair moderation I thought. I was worried from the beginning that people were setting a low bar for Biden. I think he did well given the low expectations with people seriously thinking he had dementia. Really - he has been doing public speaking for 48 years - even if he was in a coma he could debate.

The premise of the questions were of course to Biden's benefit: global warming, race, etc... Nothing on trade, peace in the middle east, etc... Media does set the agenda whether we like it or not. If you don't like it, go get in the arena (which Patrick has done with Patrick.net!).

I know most folks may not like Trump's attack on Hunter Biden, but it goes to a core root of corruption. The "Left" sets the rules yet they violate with impunity and use their status/contacts to preserve their power and wealth.

Futures now volatile. ZH has a decent summary at https://www.zerohedge.com/political/will-you-shut-man-debate-post-mortem
71   krc   2020 Sep 29, 8:04pm

Trump is really not a great debater - he is a brawler.
He could have followed up on Biden's response when Biden said he didn't call on Portland to stop the violence. Trump didn't follow up on that or the law enforcement issue very well. Trump was also too impatient. And he went off on tangents instead of selling himself to the people.

Biden stumbled a bit but not enough to be of concern. His supporters will be reassured they are not electing someone without the mental capabilities to do the job.

Drinking babies blood.
73   mell   2020 Sep 29, 8:07pm

Yeah one thing I know though is Pence will smoke Cummala. Pence is an excellent debater. Also it's difficult to go into the psychology of it. What truly matters ate the swing states and Trump did a decent job mentioning them as much as possible and that they should see returned manufacturing, business and stay open.
74   FortWayneAsNancyPelosiHaircut   2020 Sep 29, 8:12pm

It was a lot of arguing, but yeah both done some dumb things. Biden was better at emotional appeals (although a lot of bullshit), Trump rambled too much on stuff that probably does not matter to an average voters (especially that 100 judges thing).
75   Ceffer   2020 Sep 29, 8:12pm

I really didn't think Trump was that much of a brawler. He just wouldn't let crap slide at all, since he was debating an opponent and his co-dependant (moderator). If you have ever dealt with co-dependants, you know what a nightmare it can be, so Trump just had to address the foolishness as it arose.

I loved Biden's calling Antifa a 'social construct'. It shows that he can still gaslight instead of just sociopathically lie.
76   FortWayneAsNancyPelosiHaircut   2020 Sep 29, 8:15pm

I don't think this debate changed anyones mind in any direction. Biden had a really stupid answer about having a psychologist go with every police call... LOL thats just fairy land stupid.

Agree. But he didn't explain "why" very well. Sensitivity training is about creating an "allowed" racism against groups that are considered majority.
78   just_passing_through   2020 Sep 29, 8:17pm

I thought Trump wasn't at his best and that fuck face biden did better than expected.

I emailed Fox News at: https://help.foxnews.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000064413

To let them know how shitty Chris is and in fact he's why I canceled cable and don't watch their leftist shit anymore.

80   just_passing_through   2020 Sep 29, 8:20pm

I have a training coming up in 10 days that from the email sounds like a CRT. I interviewed at a company in SSF yesterday and they basically came out and said they are working up an offer at the end of it. (last of several interviews).

If this motherfucking training is a CRT training I'm going to have a shit load of fun!

I get to stay in SD but I'll likely be up in NorCal quite a bit. Might even overlap with a patnet meetup who the hell knows.
81   just_passing_through   2020 Sep 29, 8:28pm

If Fox had any brains left Greg Gutfeld should have moderated.

We would have seen Trump laughing and that leftist windbag staring. Because the left has no humor.
82   FortwayeAsFuckJoeBiden   2020 Sep 29, 8:46pm

Trump could have done better. Could have told people to vote to prevent radical left from taking over, instead of rambling.

It wasn’t a real answer, just troll answer. I guarantee you some kids on the left bought it.
86   Tenpoundbass   2020 Sep 29, 9:22pm

I watched the Debates at a friend's house, had an older Democrat Lady there, that still believes the CNN narrative.

I think Trump's strategy was to interrupt Biden's well rehearsed answers to Wallace's well orchestrated questions. Was to lessen the impact they were meant to convey, to trip him up, and to wear him down, so he started talking erratic

It was good for the beginning, as that was probably Joe's handler's best work that Trump shit all over. But it was not going to be a way to have a full 90 minutes of debates.
I think when he started answering questions, he spent too much time on his bombastic stump rhetoric and the "If you look at the numbers" shtick, when he finally started talking great substance Mike Wallace would cut him short with a curt and trite interruption.

Then the next mode we saw Trump was to stop stumping, and interrupting, and use his time to read Biden and the Democrats the RIot Act, saying things that has only been reported on TGP, Breitbart(to some degree) and The Patriot Treehouse, and saying things that most of America hasn't heard. The Liberal lady friend was cringing and calling Trump a bully and liar. I asked her if She knew who Sidney Powell is, She said no. I just said you will. Trump was landing in some good punches.

Then Trump went back to interrupting Joe, with more truth bombs, a combination of the two flavors he was offering up before.

I think Trump made a grave mistake by not acknowledging Beau when Joe was talking about him, then responded, that hit on him saying Dead Vets were suckers, was a lie, a total Lie. Then he could have attacked Hunter, but at least say his name so there's a distinction.

I think that was Trump's biggest blunder. The Lady friend has no idea how Hunter is, and thought it was pure hyperbole when my friend and I was telling her about some of his unsavory escapades. The Lady friend, only knows about Beau and nothing about Hunter.

CNN watcher. Though she says She watches Fox more now, but disputes that Fox is not a Left leaning channel. Even though I got her to admit if Fox was the Fox of the Bush administration, She wouldn't watch it.

Watching the tape,

Did anyone else catch Joe saying his other son Beau won the brown star?
91   GNL   2020 Sep 29, 10:09pm

I think Trump did poorly on CRT and the Covid. There needs to be a more open and honest conversation about these. Trump should have just said it's anti white and anti American which is racist and ugly. And there is no place in America for it. As far as the race issue goes, Joe said he would work to end racism. Someone needs to come out and tell the truth about racism. It exists, it has always existed and it will always exist and it is not a crime to dislike other people based on anything.

The Covid, Trump needs to come out and say..."look, viruses exist and always will. The government should simply tell all Americans the facts and let them decide for themselves what their best personal decisions about dealing with it should be.

He should have been clear and say BLM and Antifa are racist, leftist organizations attempting to overthrow America.
92   GNL   2020 Sep 29, 10:12pm

I think Trumps goal was to trip Joe up instead of pushing his own explanations on current events...mainly Covid and the riots. If there is another debate, Trump needs to do a better job imo.
93   Dholliday126   2020 Sep 29, 10:15pm

I give it a draw, it was what I expected. Biden needs to do better to catch up though.
94   Ceffer   2020 Sep 29, 10:24pm

I thought Biden looked awful. He looked like an animated wax dummy with make up. The wax thing is not good in old people.

With a Blue Pill issue like Covid, politicians are forced to address the Blue Pill, whether it is scientific reality or not. A successful Blue Pill seeds hysteria and religious reaction, and is thus a point of volatility that both sides seek to exploit for emotion. In that sense, it become a debating null: nobody 'wins', nobody 'loses'.

Dems and their Deep (Shallow) State cohorts really shot themselves in the foot with Covid. Trump was pretty smart, and it wound up being the Dem mayors and governers who ruined the economy and people's fortunes for political ends, and Dems wound up stepping in their own flaming dog poo.

Biden attempted several 180 degree flipping the narrative, but Trump rather adroitly turned them back around.
95   Patrick   2020 Sep 29, 10:27pm

I thought Trump won.

Biden looked weak.
