Thinking about filing a complaint with HR, but that probably will blow up in my face despite it supposedly being anonymous.

Note: my boss isn't so overtly political like this usually. But I think he crossed a line here despite my reaction to any of this. Meetings are a bitch to schedule at where I work because everyone is busy at most times, for example.

It must suck having a boss; I guess the money is worth it.

dont do it. politics is not a protected category. if he says some racist shit like "russia stole elections" or "white people are supremacists"... you got a case. bring a voice recorder to meetings, useful evidence.

I just lost a friend today. He (military guy 41 years old) and my 21 year old
daughter were talking and they both agreed that Biden should make getting the
vaccine mandatory. I asked him..."Didn't you just spend the last 20 years defending
freedom?" His cog dis sent him into a hyperbolic seizure. He did what the left
always does...end communication and cancel friendships. I told him I don't worship
the military, I worship God.

He's not much of a friend if that's all it took. So you didn't lose much.

@HunterTits my slack and zoom sessions have been similar. So far my cover hasn't been blown. I haven't had to say anything I just smile and stay quiet.

Fucking-A! That's the way to go. I'm going to make it a goal though, I can't do it now. If I'm found out my career is over and it's booming right now. So. My angle is to make as much fucking money as I can, get the fuck out of CA as soon as I reach my goal and then I'm going to do that.

Hell, I might even been in the same area as TenPound by then and we can tag-team.

Incidentally, my manager says, "I hate white people". Yet he knew I was white and actively recruited me from another company (he used to work with me there). He likes me... I just wish he wasn't suck a fucking racist.

Similar story here as well. Except one of my best friends who "didn't want to talk to me until after the election". If he tries I'm going to send him a message, "Lets chat after the election", meaning 4 years from now (at which point I'm not really expecting it) and any further contact will result in a single reply: "censored" and any further messages I'll just block his number / app account etc. Fuck that guy.

What's sad is, I like him. He is an otherwise good guy. He has helped me many times and I have helped him. It is possible I would remain friends with him but not if I have to hold my tongue. Friends should never have to worry about what they say around each other, imo. This is, I'm sure, why most people can count the number of good friends they have on 1 finger. Yes, 1 finger.
