I had to get asssertive at a place we like and know the person who runs it. They were overrun and had an hour wait and I just arrived there standing on the public sidewalk where they have their tables. A friend had put in his name but we decided to go elsewhere so at this point I was not a customer but a free citizen on a walk. The waitress came by and the first thing she barks my way is " you have to keep your mask on if you're waiting here". So I explained to her that this is a public sidewalk and they can go fuck themselves. This is exactly where your freedoms start eroding and must be defended.

I had to wait in line outside Trader Joe's yesterday and I will never put on a mask outdoors.

I'm looking forward to someone objecting. My first question is always "Why are you wearing a mask?" When they mumble something about Fauci, I refer them the NY Times Article of Feb 12, "Covid Absolutism" and the quote that there has been not one documented case of casual outdoor transmission anywhere in the world.

Maybe I should also point out that masks cause bacterial and fungal lung infections.

I hate giving the government a free loan, but I won't ever owe again. We got hit with a ~$6k bill when we were about 28. We handled it, but it f'ing sucked. My wife's company hadn't been pulling out the correct amount that she listed on her W-4. I think whoever was in accounting completely fucked up the withholdings. I should have noticed on her checks it wasn't right, but I wasn't looking.

We're on spring break with a newborn, I file our taxes and dropped a check in the mail in Appalachicola, FL for about $5,800 and some change to the IRS. Fuck doing that again. That was almost double the cost of the vacation we were already on. I could pull cash from my work to cover it, but it sucked. Never again.
