Anyone get vaxxed?

I know a few and they sound like absolute shit, and both feel like absolute crap.

Anyone else?

Why the fuck are people injecting themselves with a non-FDA approved biological agent?

And what the fuck are people afraid of, when this covid has a 99.97% survival rate?

I don't understand this level of retardedness... Or maybe I am just super, over the top, fucking retarded, that I can't understand this shit.

Holy fucking shit: both got vaccinated over last several weeks, were wearing masks outdoors in an open field and all they have to talk about was the fucking vaccine - how they got lucky to get theirs, how I need to hurry up and schedule it for myself, how "everybody" in their offices have been jabbed, how they still wear masks, have plexiglass dividers and almost hourly surface cleaning there

It does seem to appeal to a certain middle and upper middle class hypochondriasis OC disorder that pervades many deluded LibbyFucks, along the line of extremes of veganism, diet fetishism, health ritualizations, holistic beliefs, etc.
These are the people who keep quacks in business, and now, are lemmings for the Globalist Terror.

The hype was supreme. We legit stayed at our house for 15 days outside of one big grocery purchase. No visits to friends, family or neighbors. After that we knew covid was a joke. This is the classic case of yelling fire in a crowded theater. Future viruses are not going to be taken seriously that could be actually deadly. Most likely to get Trump out of office. Not sure of that since the whole world reacted. But it seemingly is a BS flu bug at this point.

Never underestimate the power of delusion. If people can believe that Bitcoin is a currency, that double masking can save us from a virus, that Aliens from out space can travel to earth and are interested in humans, or that AGW is an existential threat to the planet, they can and will believe anything. Millions, perhaps billions of people believe one or more of these giant frauds.

You and I don’t believe it but that doesn’t mean a substantial minority or even sizable majority could not be cowed into new or extended delusions of viral doom. Or maybe that is what the PTB want, to get us to let our guard down so everyone will just go about business as usual when a true plague is unleashed.

But I think it is the former, and the PTB are just shit testing us to see who will eat a turd and call it filet mignon. If the PTB get their way, It will soon be required not only that you believe lies, but that you persecute anyone who tells the truth. Welcome to the great reset, new world order new normal.

Well, Bitcoin is seen as digital Gold. Some smart people like me call it the best thing since sliced bread. Its a wealth generator. Sure, its also a currency but not meant to pay for day-to-day transactions like buying coffee. You can use stable coins or doge coin for that. Bitcoin is more for big ticket items. Like buying a Ferrari California or a vacation home.

I bought Bitcoin at 15k.....its already at over 50k....and its been only 6 month! Amazing :) Thank god I didnt leave that money sitting in my bank account.

It was always that way, they're just taking extreme advantage of this mode of behavior now.

...it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country. -- Hermann Goering

Bingo! Vaccines are becoming the biggest eternal revenue source ever. Think the Fauci/Pelosi mafia is going to give that up? No fucking way.

Not to mention the vast expansion of government authority that the virus excuses.

yep, you just cant fault businesses....its better to follow the order and have masks than get shut down. Common sense.

Or just stay open. That's what we did in IL. Everything was "guidelines" and no one could be shut down. Wasn't law. Unless the CA legislature voted on it and the governor signed it, business could and should have been open. Governors are not dictators. Never have been.

It feels normal in SoCal now with sit down options and packed restaurants :)

Welcome to 2020... errrr I mean 2021 in your case. You've been living like a peasant for the last 9 months. You don't get that time back. Time is life. You just lost 9 months of it due to government/governor overreach. Nothing to brag about there. But hey, if average beaches and shitty water make you happy, that's on you. I'd have moved or just kept my business open. Lots of other options instead of justifying living in a place that is poorly run.

It is true @ Patrick

Today they expect persecution of those who tell the truth, but they won’t stop there. I would not be shocked if by the end of the decade (perhaps sooner) we see actual executions of people who refuse to believe their lies. And those who believe the lies will probably cheer the executions with more delight than a World Series victory.

Think it can’t happen? I’m sure the Germans in 1934 would have said the same thing.
716   Patrick   2021 Apr 19, 9:02pm

The key is that liberals have been made afraid for their lives through lies about conservatives, especially poor white conservatives.

People do not think or negotiate when they feel their life is in danger.

That is why the media is constantly trying to whip up FEAR in liberals. It's the easy way to control them and stop them from thinking.

One defense is just to be friendly to liberals while sticking to your own beliefs.

Bingo. I don't like masks attached to my ears. I can deal with what is the equivalent of a scarf. I don't honestly notice it. If I need to be in a place and I get heat without the mask, I just pull it up in front of that person and pull it down as I walk away laughing.

Wearing a cloth mask or even the blue ones is pure retardation. My 5 'o'clock shadow sticks through the mask. So yeah, it's thin as fuck, IF I do wear it. I literally just checked and I can see through my gaiter relatively well.

Biggest con of CA. Every job offer we've had from CA was 20-30% less than IL. Fact. 6 figure jobs. CO had the best offer at over $300k.

Factor in Covid, you can make the same anywhere in the country if you have the skill. You can also live for 1/2 the costs, maybe even cheaper. I'm $2k/mo living in a high property tax state. Out the gate you're at $2k with just PI in CA. I'm being generous too. Remember you're paying for this stuff after you've been taxed.

No one has to believe me, but being taxed at 13% marginally is insane. Factor in federal? Factor in buying a home in CA? It makes ZERO sense for anyone to move to CA. Joe Rogan as a recent example just saved $13M in taxes. lL would have been a $4.75M tax hit. 1/3rd less than CA. TX $0. My Montana guys and I know some of the TX guys are seeing it. If you own, I'd get out of CA.

Weather is the worst excuse to live in a place. You sound like a pussy. If you're 50 plus you can move to different areas for different times of the year.

There could be an issue with the resume and qualification? Maybe too many typos?

My job pays tremendously well. Maybe NY city could match it but in flyover country I would probably get 0.1 of what I am making now :) Love it here in SoCal. Pool time all year round!

Nah, you just don't get paid more in CA. Fortunately we own our own businesses and are not reliant on employers for money like we did at that time. The offers were from years ago. Likely worse now. Pensions don't pay themselves.

Point out typos as well? I'm sure I've made them, but please, point them out.

I do miss the CA climate in the winter time - in GA it's cold and gray, while CA was about 50-60 degrees and sunny.

But I enjoy summers down here better: 90+ degrees, at the lake or beach, windows down etc...

Run the numbers. You don't. Not trying to be a dick. It's not about the salary. Cost of living is a substantial cost IF you can make more in a location. I've ran the numbers from CO, AZ, CA, MT and FL when we thought about moving. Detailed. You can make the same or more, plus cheaper cost of living. CA and CO were the worst choices when we were looking. This isn't opinion. It's fact.

Between housing costs and state income taxes, any gain of income is wiped out. You'd be better most the time losing income and living substantially more cheaply. That's not the American way though. Spend, spend, spend. And you can just live in Kansas and make the same amount. Location for income doesn't matter with most professions.

It matters a fuckton with mine. AZ and CO aren’t even on the table, nor are any other landlocked states. And until she completes a certificate, it will matter for hers as well. Everyone has their own situation. Many wouldn’t understand why you remain in Illinois when it’s so fucked up politically and tax wise there. It’s at least as bad as California, but lacking the natural features. Yes I know Chicago and Illinois. I went to college there. It’s not great and it’s not terrible. It’s just perfectly average, with a decidedly below average political and tax situation.

741   HeadSet   2021 Apr 20, 2:04pm

I would suspect that most on this blog are of means, and pretty much are able to choose where they want to live. Exceptions are those anchored by extended family or current career status. Even so, nothing wrong with some hometown pride. However, the idea that your home is the best place on Earth and everyone envies you for living in the perfect place, is a bit provincial. The man who lives on his own acre in flyover land, who has a 15 minute commute to work, who loves hunting and fishing and has his own bass boat and several good local fishing spots, has all night poker games with the boys on a picnic table lit by a Coleman lantern with a cooler of beer, does not envy the Californian with his beaches and dog walking spots. He also does not envy the long commutes and the necessity of having the wife work to make ends meet. Nor does he envy the tiny house packed into a .15 acre lot. And while the California may think these costs are worth it for the "Mediterranean" climate and local cuisine like the garlic grape leaves at Giglio's Ethnic Café, the flyover guy loves his area's four distinct seasons and the best on Earth pulled pork at Big Fat Daryl's Beanery and Firing Range.

If "big salaries" indicate the best place to live, then I see the Virginia and Maryland counties surrounding Washington DC must be the most desirable places in the country. NYC, too. Even so, when looking at median household income, CA, VA, and Illinois are not that far apart. CA median income is about $80, VA about $76k, and Illinois about $70k. The percentage of those households earning above $200k is Ca-14%. VA - 12%, and Illinois - 9%. Remember, this is Household income, including salaries of both husband and wife (or partner). Do doctors, attorneys, teachers, and other occupations really make more in LA than those in Chicago or Washington DC? How about rural or small town Californians?

I believe he lives in Illinois. They have one of the the highest tax burdens in the whole country.
https://www.mystateline.com/news/local-news/illinois-has-the-highest-taxes-nationwide-report-finds/

The cost of living in Illinois with its retarded sky-high property, sales, income and gas taxes makes it comparable to the cost of living of many nice places in California.
743   socal2   2021 Apr 20, 2:38pm

Last year I promoted and transferred an employee from Washington State down to California. We typically provide 10% pay increase for this type of promotion, but I had to bump him 20% because he was going from a non-income tax state to California's nearly 10% rate at his pay level.

Nobody even mentions the congestion in California. Cali IS CROWDED ass to elbow and your are competing even for slots at what used to be the entertainment venues.

Santa Cruz is heavily mobbed even more than it used to be because of Covid cabin fever, and the lack of places to go until recently.

In LA, traveling short distances could take hours. Apparently, Covid helped, but I notice the traffic is creeping up again in the Bay Area.

Buying a house in CA CAN BE a fantastic investment in the long run.....The house in our neighborhood is for sale and in a bidding war. Guy bought it in March and sells in April for 200k more....now I hear there is a bidding war. Frankly, its an extreme example because its a nice location and prices are out of reach for most people.
