The Chinese Communist Party has been heavily censoring social media posts by feminists. Some of that was always there - "bad boys" have always been attractive to womyn. What is different these days is that aberrant (in some ways) behavior is not shamed by society, and while it SEEMS that this lack of shaming benefits womyn, in reality it benefits men more. A hundred years ago, couple married and they had to conform to local village expectations - do not fuck around too obviously, stay married, provide for kids, etc. While it was not universally successful, most people were OK in that system. Now they can bang their brains out. And while shaming womyn for that has gone away, due to our biological programming it actually benefits men. Screw as many womyn as you want and then if you want to have a stable relationship when you are in your late 30's or 40's or even later, catch a much younger one. Right, but there are different kinds of selection, called r and K selection I think. There are societies as in sub-saharan Africa where the women are slutty and have to depend on their own grandmothers for help in raising the child. But they are weak societies exactly because of the lack of paternal certainty and therefore the lack of paternal investment in the children and the societies.
