Facebook says it was wrong to ban Canadian Conservative MP Mark Strahl’s Christmas message
“Sometimes our automated review systems get things wrong."
Canadian Conservative MP Mark Strahl posted a Facebook ad wishing his Chilliwack-Hope constituents a Merry Christmas.
Facebook banned the post for violating its policies on discrimination.
The ad was reinstated after appeal, with Facebook blaming the mistake on an error in its automated systems.
In the video ad, Strahl said: “From my family to yours, have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!”
Merry Christmas!
Even the heathens :)
Many people sleep on cold floor without blankets to celebrate the martyr.
So mixed bags for Sikhs.
I claim Winter Solstice as an Irish holiday, 5,000 years old:

So what happened to this great ancient Irish civilization? Why did the Irish revert to stone age savages by the time of the Romans? I suspect whiskey.
The Romans conquered them

Rome did not conquer Ireland, I only mentioned "time of the Romans" to give a reference.
Did they try?

I doubt it. The Romans did not even want Scotland. Just built a wall to keep the heathens out.
I was happy that they don't have a sodomy flag out front like so many protestant churches around here.
I've always wanted to hear mass in Latin

The irony of that statement is astounding. (Priests and pedophilia).
I went to Gregorian mass at noon at St. Thomas Church in Palo Alto, and it was quite inspiring. Wife was getting bored by the end (1.5 hours) but I was not bored at all.
I've always wanted to hear mass in Latin, and they have a choir which is just stupendous, assuming you like Gregorian music.
It's an elegant old church, at least for this area. I did not wear a mask, but neither did the two priests, and a couple other members of the congregation. It was not crowded, which was surprising for Christmas. But then it's pretty hard to follow in Latin, so maybe that puts some people off. They did have a nice booklet with all the words in English and Latin.
I may actually go back next week. I never liked the church when it was being forced on me, but as a purely voluntary thing, it's much more interesting. And I'm into Latin lately. I have my aunt's old Latin textbook from the U. of Chicago Lab School, and one day I'll read it.
Catholics should definitely not
