One caliber intellect doing a 45 caliber job.
I thought Clarence Thomas was one at one point, and I'm happy to say that I believe I was in error with that.
The younger ones will just wait till the time is right for change... just let the citizens of this nation know we are being played... turn the ship around, or the ship will sink in turbulent waters.
We who are old and wise can only try to convince those otherwise. ..
Bush senior’s two greatest achievements:
1) appointed Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court
2) not invaded Iraq.

George H. Bush did invade Iraq.
Don't you remember Gulf War Syndrome? It's suspected that was a result of an experimental anthrax vaccine, which was never needed. Also, could have been a result of Hussein burning the oil fields as well.
In any case, the US had no justification for invading Iraq. If they want a resource, they can fucking pay for it, instead of using the military and making everybody in the nation pay for it, whether they want to or not.
I believe he helped to defend Kuwait and pushed the Iraqis back, not invading it. All in all, still a much better outcome than Bush Jr.

There was an invasion in Operation Desert Storm. It's suspected that George H. Bush goaded Hussein into attacking Kuwait, by having April Glaspie (US ambassador at the time) tell Hussein that the US would not intervene should Hussein attack Kuwait which Hussein regarded as a historical part of Iraq. April Glaspie denied he statements, Hussein produced transcripts, and she resigned never to be heard from again:

It appears that Hussein was setup. Now we're all mushrooms though, we're fed shit an...
Wow, we’re about the same age. I’m 48. Will be 49 later this year. Thanks for the education on the topic.

Agreed, contractually speaking Gulf War 1 was legit, the Kuwaitis (albeit not any better than Saddam) were a partner. The 2nd one and Iraq invasion wasn't.

The United States was allied with Iraq from 1980-1988 when Iraq was at war with Iran. It's LIKELY (no evidence that I can find though) that the US got Hussein to start war with Iran - but the US was desperate to regain control of Iran after they lost it in 1979. The dates are just too cute, too coincidental.
Iran was a vassal state of the United States until the infamous 1979 Iranian revolution and US hostage crisis.
Iran became a vassal state when the United States overthrew the nation with Operation Ajax in 1953 - replacing (their perhaps VERY flawed...

Agreed but contractually they had an agreement to protect Kuwait, at least it was a legitimate reason as opposed to WMDs nowhere to be found.
Last fall, the court resumed in-person arguments for the first time, and none chose to wear a mask except Justice Sonia Sotomayor
When the court returned to the bench following the Omicron surge, Sotomayor made it clear she did not feel safe unless her colleagues were masked
Roberts then reportedly asked the other justices to mask up so that Sotomayor could return, but Gorsuch, who sits directly next to her, remained obstinate
