this used to run quite well. frankly, under gottlieb, the FDA was truly a gold standard organization and they hit their dates well while providing high quality review and striking a good balance of working with companies on their projects while demanding good study design and requiring sound endpoints and data.

At this point, I think it is clear: many pandemic experts hurt children.

School closure was the greatest self inflicted wound of the pandemic. Sensible European nations did not close primary school at all, or only for 6 weeks, but places in the USA remained closed for more than a year. This was a net negative for the health and well-being of children, and will damage this nation for years to come. I am not sure we will recover.

This decision was made only in some places in the USA, and not others, and was not explained by virus specific properties— it had no correlation with cases/100k or hospitalizations per capita—but solely the political valence of a region/ strength of teachers unions. When the history books are written, school closure will be viewed, as I have said before: a massively catastrophic and harmful blunder that was fueled by mis-information from the legacy media, and many pundits who lacked experience adjudicating trade-offs.

But the experts did not stop with closure. To this day, children suffer some of the harshest restrictions. In many parts of the USA, including school districts in California, school kids must wear cloth masks inside and outside (Nov 2021). During recess, and in inclement weather (rain). In some locations, they must eat lunch outside, in a hurry (time limits), or in the cold.

That declaration by the director of the Centers for Disease Control, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, is one of those fall-out-of-your-chair moments. You’re tempted to repeat it several times just to be sure every syllable is in the right place.

Did she mean the deaths of all the people who died of Covid? Seventy-five percent. Or did she mean the people who died with Covid? The preposition, we have learned, matters muchly. “Of” means Covid is the murder weapon. “With” means Colonel Mustard did it with a poker in the library, and Covid was just standing in the corner. Listen carefully to the tape of Walensky on Good Morning America and it sounds like she means “with.” How many people actually died of Covid has been a dark CDC secret from early on. ...

Of course, many of us have been skeptical all along about the reported numbers, but the CDC has stalwartly told us, no, things are really bad. What loosens Dr. Walensky’s lips at this point?

We are left to wonder. Is it the widespread recognition that the vaccines are not very good at stopping the transmission of the virus? Is it that the boosters administered to people outside the red zone of age and comorbidity are more likely to harm than to protect? Is it that the Great Scare is losing its edge faster than a melting icicle?

We can trust that somewhere in the Batcave of the Biden administration a decision has been handed down. Now is the time to cool the Covid hysteria. Word must go out that Omicron is only my head cold.

No doubt, weaning people off masks, social distancing and shutdowns will be difficult. Devotion to Faucism has taken root like Chinese bittersweet along our roadsides, choking out the native foliage. The comparison to a salvation cult is too easy to make. By comparison, the salvationist cults I used to study were far more questioning of their premises and closer in spirit to the séance-busting Houdini or doubtful Richard Dawkins than the Fauci-ites are to questioning their master’s pronouncements. My guess is that Fauci will soon be cashing in his reported $350,000 per year federal retirement package — the largest in the history of the federal government.

Politics have sucked all the air out of the Reason Room. When Biden announced his unconstitutional OSHA “vaxx” mandate, my employer reflexively required me to submit to the vaxx. Though I love my work and the people with whom I work, I told my supervisor that I would never inject this talismanic, experimental, harmful dreck.

None of the dozens who come on-site to work their gardens, nor the homeless men who sleep there, are required to jab. Some of the gardeners are Mexican immigrants who speak no English. They tell me that they won’t take la vacuna; they know people who have been hospitalized or died after the shot. No matter the language, word gets around. Though somehow, the word on the street doesn’t seem to reach the nightly news. The street isn’t sponsored by Big Pharma. Yet.

Knowing I was threatened with dismissal for declining the vaxx, these normally institution-averse people reached out to administrators to oppose my firing. It was kind of touching.

Applying logic to facts, the gardeners criticized the mandatory vaxx policy, especially as applied to my situation. Erstwhile campesinos with almost no schooling are out-thinking university and municipal leaders with advanced degrees, as well as governors, public health “experts,” the American President and seemingly all elected members of his Party.

While I spent six weeks under under the vaxx mandate Sword of Damocles, I sincerely sought, and eventually received, a religious vaxx exemption.

But the exemption was conditioned upon me submitting to a weekly test. Sample collection requires me to generate greenhouse gases by driving to the Student Health Center, where I stand outside and spit into a plastic funnel and tube. Together, this kit probably contains as much plastic as twenty Burger King straws, and millions of the kits are likely disposed each day disposed as medical waste. As are mask mandates, the testing process is environmentally unfriendly. ...

Spitting into a tube is revelatory. But it tells you far more about your government’s and media’s abiding untrustworthiness than it tells you about your health. Reliance on testing is yet another obvious sign that the entire “crush the virus” crusade has been a sham. Governments—Democrat politicians, in particular—that have persistently required lockdowns, masks, shots and testing—none of which work—have destroyed their credibility among thinking people. This mistrust should logically and chronologically extend far beyond the Covid overreaction. Nominal Experts, Pharma, news sources and political parties who have lied this often, this obviously and for this long, may—appropriately—never be trusted again.

This research is plagued with classic errors and biases, and does not support the press-released conclusions that often follow. In all cases, the papers are uniquely timed to further political goals and objectives; as such, these papers appear more as propaganda than as science. The CDC’s use of this technique has severely damaged their reputation and helped lead to a growing divide in trust in science by political party. Science now risks entering a death spiral in which it will increasingly fragment into subsidiary verticals of political parties. As a society, we cannot afford to allow this to occur. Impartial, honest appraisal is needed now more than ever, but it is unclear how we can achieve it. ...

Once that trust is broken, it’s not easily regained. One way out would be to reduce the CDC’s role in deciding policy, even during a pandemic. Expecting the executive agency tasked with conducting the science itself to also help formulate national policy—which must balance both scientific and political concerns and preferences—has proven a failure, because the temptation to produce flawed or misleading analysis is simply too great. In order to firewall policymaking from science, perhaps scientific agency directors shouldn’t be political appointees at all.

Dr. Marty Makary: 'The absolute worst studies' came from federal agency

Johns Hopkins University professor Dr. Marty Makary says the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been "using science as political propaganda."

"The absolute worst studies that were done during the pandemic came out of the CDC," he said in an interview Tuesday with the Fox Business Network spotlighted by Breitbart News.

"It really is offensive. It should be offensive to anybody who believes in science, including our nation’s physicians. This is using science as political propaganda. The absolute worst studies that were done during the pandemic came out of the CDC."

Makary, a professor of public health, pointed to a CDC study in Arizona's Maricopa and Pima counties he said was "deeply flawed."

The agency used the study to recommend "universal indoor masking by students, staff members, faculty, and visitors in kindergarten through grade 12 (K–12) schools, regardless of vaccination status."

But Makary argued the "number of schools in the study didn’t even match the number of schools in the geographic area they said they were studying."

The CDC also has largely ignored the power of natural immunity, based on two "highly flawed studies," he said.

"And yet they parrot these studies again and again, and much of the media just reports it out," Makary told FBN.

"If you look at most of the misguidance that we’ve gotten, it has been based on flawed science, with a lot of the community complicit in what they’re putting out."

The Johns Hopkins professor said "basically, what they've been doing is saying, we've made our decision, now let's go find some data to support it."

This week, WND published an interview with a data analyst with a PhD in computational biology who has taken a deep dive into the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System database, known as VAERS. She finds that the data signal a human catastrophe.

Meanwhile, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, while continuing to undermine VAERS, still hasn't fulfilled her promise to a senator to provide "the data" indicating how many Americans have died from the COVID shots.

Terrible studies on masks and on health outcomes in kids with COVID-19 compared to vaccination;

Financial conflicts of interests throughout public health implicating epidemiologists doing studies to support specific policies. The US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s history of receiving $400,000 from Carnival Cruise before his appointment.

To these recently pointed to by Dr. Vinay Prasad, I will add:

Allowing incorrect and inaccurate calculations of mRNA vaccine efficacy;

Implementation of a woefully flawed application of RT-PCR for COVID-19 testing, while reporting zero false positives;

Implementing unrealistic and futile control policies re: outdoor events and outdoor dining;

Denying instead of addressing the PCR false positive problem;

Unwarranted claims on the tissue fates of the spike protein;

Silence on the findings of insertion of mRNA spike-encoded reverse transcribed DNA in human cells;

Locking down the US and the resulting data showing lockdowns had no effect on the virus;

Promotion of studies that claim to show that vaccine-induced immunity is superior to natural immunity;

Reliance on non-peer-review “preprints”

Reliance on flawed and fraudulent studies allegedly showing no efficacy of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine

Reliance on late-COVID-19 studies of treatment options that are not highly profitable;

Denial of the science on early treatment with options that are not highly profitable;

Implementation of the remdesivir treatment protocol based on an interim analysis published as a press release;

The implementation of perverse incentives for COVID-19 cases and COVID-19 deaths after starving hospitals of cash via the 3-month lockdown;

Whistleblowers that stepped forward (to Del Bigtree and the Highwire team) reporting willful miscoding of deceased patients with COVID-19;

Interference with public discourse via pressure on social media outlets to allow only discussions that match the official narrative;

Acting as though the deaths and adverse events reported to VAERS and other systems are not caused by the vaccines.

As if those are not reason enough…

Now we have yet another reason to no trust public health. The public health agenda caused billions of people around the planet to be injected with the spike-protein encoding RNAs without first determining whether other parts of the RNA might be read as other proteins.

medical interventions are everywhere and always a risk/benefit calculation.

this is just bedrock reality. nothing is free. you must always compare that which a treatment will gain you to that which it will cost you. you must weigh risk as well as reward.
