Reminds me of a story at my building. Some Wisconsin Milly whose daddy got him into the Family Business had a 20 email with the board meltdown about not getting the storage unit transferred with his $1 from daddy condo purchase.
Fortunately, our President is a mellow lawyer who simply kept sending him the Assoc Rules that the units are owned by the Association, not by the Unit, and rotate to the next person on the waiting list when a unit is sold.
The Spoiled Brat kept stamping his rhetorical feet for about a dozen more emails. It was pretty pathetic.

I wrote Prof Peter Wadhams at Cambridge to ask him what he thought about his prediction, and if he cared what it was doing to the psyche's of children and also went on to ask if he was being dishonest and what the purpose of this dishonesty ultimately was.
I was quite polite actually, but he's not written back.
Maybe he didn't have time to write back even to send me an angry note, but also, maybe he's just a psychopath that gets letters like that all the time.
He still promotes this idea of imminent doom. It's really disgusting. If I remember to do it, in a year or two, I'll write him again.

If this goes nuclear, we're all fucked.
They wouldn't even have to fire on cities, they could fire on FARMLAND, and just watch us starve over the next year. Treating Russia like it's Afghanistan, Iraq, or Syria - just delusional. Even ISRAEL could do some pretty horrific damage to the world, or India or Pakistan. Russia is bigger than all 3 combined in terms of nuclear weaponry.
Fucking maniacs of the United States egged on this war, and if it goes bad and expands, you and your family are going to slowly starve if you're unlucky enough not to be die in a blast. I don't know, if people are too fucking stupid to realize the immense danger we are in, maybe they do deserve to die. I mean fuck it, I'm old enough to die I think now, and if people are such fucking NPC's that they are cheering on WWIII, well - SHRUG.

What I'm saying though is I'm done trying to fight against the propaganda. I've spent DECADES doing it, and nobody wants to hear it. If people are so stupid as to allow the recreation of the Cold War, what can I do to stop it?
Our government has spent 20 solid years in wars and every single one of them began with a HUGE, OBVIOUS, lie. I'm too old and tired to deal with it anymore. People have all the information and data that they could possibly ever consume in front of them with the Internet. They can know anything, talk to anybody. What do they do with the most incredible research and communication system that is the envy of every civilization ever?

I just saw 1/2 the world go from "Mask up and get the booster" to "Slava Ukraini" in a week. It's so fucking depressing. Every day the news media comes up with another lie and then before it's debunked, another lie, and another another. There was no massacre by the Russians in Bucha for example. The mayor announced that the Russians had left on a video message, and no mention of all the bodies then later, "the Russians did this massacre". It's just lie after lie after lie, which wouldn't bother me, except people believe it.
We fucking have Victoria Nuland picking out the next leader of Ukraine 2 weeks before the revolution, and idiots still say that the US wasn't involved with a coup.
Fuck it, people are stupid. These people aren't worth saving if they are this goddamned stupid. If the teeeveeee can over-ride all their reasoning skills, cancel out what they hear, cancel out what they see, are they even human? Are these people worth caring about and there's SEAS of them. In 2005, I forgave them, not all of them were researchers, not all of them were on the net as long as I was, not all of them realized what they could do with this device. But I can't forgive them anymore. If people are this dumb and people that know better ALLOW people to be this dumb, fuck it. It's a duty to inform and educate, and nobody does. Are the people who refuse to inform - are they worth caring about?
