I cannot say about Burger King, but McDonald's, up until 1990, made their french fries in tallow. I grew up on that stuff.

Those fries were to die for. When I was a kid, we had a family in the neighborhood who had some kind of rule about calling the bottom of the bag when driving through. You know, the fries that fell into the bottom of the bag. They competed over them!

Yes, those fries were that good.
