A religion has to keep its members alive and reproducing, or the religion itself will die.

There was an early form of Christianity in the Roman Empire in which Christians would accost strangers on the roads and demand to be beaten to death, threatening to beat the stranger to death himself if he did not comply. The idea was that people who are murdered go to heaven. That form of Christianity died out pretty quickly.

More recently, there was Shakerism, which prohibited all sex. They had no children and also died out.

Suicide bombings in Islam continue because it is a weapon of war, not an obligation to blow oneself up applying all Muslims.

The new Woke Religion is doomed to self-extermination, because it aggressively promotes lifestyles which prevent reproduction, like gayness and feminism. It also promotes suicide lately. See https://patrick.net/post/1320662/2018-12-04-you-all-want-some-of-that-commie

The Woke Religion also promotes cultural suicide, killing off everything that is good about Western civilization, and tearing down the statues of quite honorable men, like Jefferson and Lincoln.

But in the meantime, the Wokies are also trying to kill off as many normies as they can. Hopefully the Wokies will die out before they can cause much more damage.

New Age Spiritualists got old and turned Hipsters into Wokesters. They were a rebellion against Christianity.

As a researcher, Bullivant wanted to know why Americans, once considered the exception to the secularization that has happened in Europe and elsewhere, are suddenly losing their religion.

And it is sudden, he notes. “This kind of religious change in a society doesn’t normally happen in the space of 20 or 30 years,” he told Religion News Service in a Zoom interview. “It’s been within the space of one or perhaps two generations that we’ve seen a sudden surge.”

In the 1990s, nonreligion began climbing from its baseline of around 7% of the population to what is between three and five times that figure now, depending on the survey. (All national surveys show the same rising trendline, but they differ as to the degree.)

Indeed, religions fail for precisely the reasons you demonstrate. There's a variable that's little different with Wokism that may illustrate the need for a different approach. That variable is all of the Woke materials they'll leave behind. They've injected themselves into all forms of media which brings up a conflict. Do we censor media from this era of Woke ideology, or do we educate on why it failed so miserably? One is easier than the other.

I have always been against censorship therefore the only viable option in my opinion is good parenting.

Edit:spelling error

normies

The only time I have ever heard that term was when someone dragged me to an AA meeting 20 some years ago so they could show me how they found redemption. Not sure if they stayed on the straight and narrow or not since we lost touch.

To date I have never heard someone with cancer, a heart condition or any other serious illness refer to others as "normies" but then again I do not belive addiction is a disease.

Mental problem, yes. Disease, no.

In cases like this, the children are only props to enhance their images.

Symbols which give legitimacy to their lifestyle and nature.

Reiss’s theory of what attracts people to religion is based on his research in the 1990s on motivation. He and his colleagues surveyed thousands of people and asked them to rate the degree to which they embraced hundreds of different possible goals.

In the end, the researchers identified 16 basic desires that we all share:

acceptance, curiosity, eating, family, honor, idealism, independence, order, physical activity, power, romance, saving, social contact, status, tranquility and vengeance.

Sounds like a form of Gnosticism, which views the physical body as evil.

Be careful about labeling cults as religions.
