I knew a Christian that volunteered for construction projects on the continent of Africa. When I asked him about the money, food, equipment, etc. that is sent to Africa by
our Government, he said this (paraphrase) 'Virtually none of it ends up with the people. The Governments take the food, etc. and SELL it to their people, it is not given to them. The entire continent is incredibly corrupt. Our Government money, in the form of a gift, is used to buy off the corrupt leaders and is never used to help the people. The only
real help that can be provided is by volunteers that actually go over there and build something, otherwise, the money, food and supplies all go to the corrupt leaders.'

So keep that in mind when you see that our government is sending this enormous amount to Africa. Also, you can count on this; there is a LOT of kickback to the U. S.
politicians that support these giveaways, and it's all resting safely in off-shore accounts.

Lol! Sounds very familiar in my commie state. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know this. In fact, it will not only enrich their leaders but empower to be more dangerous. At the end of the day, it’s all about kickbacks.
I remember the first installed commie prime minister of India said, it would be remarkable if people receive 25% from the source in any program!

Obligatory:

Seems to me this is just money meant to counter chyna.

We can probably lock up key institutions in africa for relatively cheap, greatly increasing the cost and difficulty for the chinese to navigate and spread their influence and control.

No, it's just bribes and kickbacks. The last time the US did ANYTHING of use to any country was Vietnam, and that's even a bit questionable.

Africa the new laundromat? Lack of math could come in handy for accounting, but it might be trouble ever getting the kickbacks.

If the kickbacks don't come back, either the "aid" ends, or all of a sudden, the US needs to intervene in the area "to prevent a humanitarian crisis".

Why? Why care about africa?

Im sure much of this is bribes, but what is the goal? I say it's to counter chyna. What do you say?

Does chyna do it for the bribes too? What about the USSR - they are heavily involved there too, sending money, arms and Wagner mercenaries. Are they doing it for bribes or out of purety of their Stalin-worshipping hearts?

The USSR stopped existing on December 26, 1991.

Whenever I hear somebody talking about "the USSR", it's just a reminder of how brainwashed people are. Russia is NOTHING like the USSR.

Nope. It lives on. And tries to recapture nations it used to occupy.

Russia in THE USSR. The only diffrence is they allow limited private property. As in less limited than before 1991. For now. The rest is the same and the same people are in charge.

I recall George 'Dubya' Bush giving Africa $80 BILLION in order to 'fight AIDS' just before leaving office.

How much of that money actually went to stop the spread of AIDS? Probably next to zero.

How much went to the corrupt leaders of Africa, along with our own corrupt leaders in the form of kickbacks? Just about all of it.
